Led Zeppelin reunion!?!?

Featured Replies

W00T!!!

In what could be a landmark reformation, Led Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, and bassist John Paul Jones, the irrefutable, thunderous pioneers of hard rock, have reportedly agreed to reunite for the first time in nearly twenty years for a one-off memorial gig in honor of late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. But if all goes smoothly, the band, alongside deceased drummer John Bonham's son Jason skins, have reportedly exposed a full tour may lie in the imminent future.

"Page, Plant, and Jones spoke and agreed to do the memorial concert. They are waiting for a definite date," an unidentified source told Yahoo! Music. "And no one can quite believe it, but during discussions about the concert they all gave the green light to a tour if it all does well and they don't all fall out." In response, bloggers are (pun intended) dazed and confused and awaiting confirmation for what could be the hottest ticket of the century. But others question the validity of the source's claims, citing numerous reunion rumors over the years, while some question the aging rockers' ability to shred the same youthful, fiery tunes considering the substantial time lapsed since their last appearance together on stage.

If this is the real deal, I must go!!!

there was a rumor about a month ago, which was denied.

don't count on it.

There is endless rumours, probably surface about twice a year, lol. But it is for the founder of Atlantic, if I am correct, who passed, didn't read your article, too lazy, lol.

I'm really sick of these. I've heard that a million times now and it's been denied everytime. I'll believe it when its been properly confirmed by all the members.

Yeah I know. I'm just tetchy cause the whole re-union thing really drew me in the first time I heard about it. Then I heard it was just a rumour and it really crushed me, the thought of never seeing Zeppelin live. So whenever I hear about it now it seriously winds me up.

Led Zeppelin Announcement Expected Next Week

From: BILLBOARD.BIZ 2007.09.07

Talk of a Led Zeppelin reunion just refuses to go away.

Billboard reported in July that the band may get together for a proposed tribute to the late producer/record mogul Ahmet Ertegun at the O2 in London in November (Billboard, Aug. 4).

Now on ledzeppelin.com the date 11.13.07 mysteriously appears with the familiar Zep symbols. And several people saw the band touring the O2 during Prince's recent stand at the new 20,000-seat London arena. A press conference next Wednesday (Sept. 12) in London may clear everything up.

There has been talk that tour producers AEG Live and Michael Cohl's CPI (Rolling Stones, Genesis, Barbra Streisand) have put in offers on a Zep tour featuring founding members Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones with late drummer John "Bonzo" Bonham's son Jason on drums. But it is also well-known in the industry that standing offers have been on the table for a Led Zeppelin tour for more than a decade.

Nov. 13 also has another significance: it's the drop date of a new Atlantic/Rhino two-disc, 24-track best-of set, "Mothership." Additionally, a deluxe reissue of the soundtrack to the 1976 concert film "The Song Remains the Same" with previously unreleased material and a new DVD edition of that movie will arrive Nov. 20 via Atlantic/Rhino and Warner Home Video, respectively.

I have been looking for any more info, if anyone else has any, please share. :(

If it's true I'd probably fly over, lol. I've always kicked myself for being born 25 years too late.

I looked on http://www.led-zeppelin.com and they have nothing, and they're usually up in the know.

They've been denying it and comfirming it and denying it back and forth.. I hope they will, I would pay everything I have to go see them

99 Slayer since August 2007.
