Mouseball11
How easy is it for Jagex to detect? Not that i do it I just don't see how its detectable
Sorator
They have their ways. I'd explain more but it's confidential information; just let it be said that it's detected almost 100% of the time. Perhaps not always actioned against, but almost always detected. So don't do it. :P Obtained quest cape and base 92 before obtaining any 99s! Currently finishing out my 99s with the (long-distant) goal of comp cape. Master_Smither
If they detect the same IP's on 2 accounts they'll check it and investigate :) Click for My Blog670th to 99 Smithing July 21st, 07 |743rd to 99 Mining November 29th, 07 | 649th to 99 Runecrafting May 18th, 08 | 29,050th to 99 Defence October 20th, 08 | 20,700th to 99 Magic November 8, 08 | 47,938th to 99 Attack December 19, 08 | 37,829th to 99 Hitpoints December 24, 08 | 68,604th to 99 Strength February 4, 09 | 27,983rd to 99 Range February 9, 09 | 9,725th to 99 Prayer June 8, 09 | 6,620th to 99 Slayer December, 12 09 | 4,075th to 99 Summoning December, 28 09 | 3,551th to 99 Herblore February 24, 10 | 3,192th to 99 Dungeoneering November 11, 10 | 146,600th to 99 Cooking December 29th, 10 | 11,333rd to 99 Construction June 7th, 11 | 16,648th to 99 Farming August 1st, 11 | 19,993th to 99 Crafting August 2nd, 11 | 89,739th to 99 Woodcutting Janurary 1st, 12 | 55,424th to 99 Fishing May 9th, 12| 60,648th to 99 Firemaking May 12th, 12 | 16666th to 99 Agility May 17th, 2012 | 24476th to 99 Hunter June 1st, 2012 | 57,881st to 99 Fletching June 1st, 2012 | All 99s June 1st, 2012 | 3183th to 120 Dungeoneering July 24th, 2012 | 2341st to 2496 Total level July 24th, 2012 | Completionist Cape July 24th, 2012
davidium
but no one can conclude that you are doing multiple log ins just because 2 accounts have the same IP address...this is because there is something called a...router  so if your house has a router and 2 computers...you and your friend/brother/sister/grandfather could be playing at the same time on different accounts with the same IP and it would be 100% legal. maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it

And that's why they investigate, to see if it looks as if there is multiple logging in, like if the only time someone logins from that ip address, there's another log in too or something like that. Dexek
To answer your question, yes, it is quite easy for Jagex to detect someone breaking the rules and logging in on multiple accounts. Iamdan
If you know what you're doing, they can't detect it. If you don't, they will.

davidium
To answer your question, yes, it is quite easy for Jagex to detect someone breaking the rules and logging in on multiple accounts.it is PERFECTLY legal to log in on multiple accounts provided you do not do so simultaneously btw...just thought it would be good to clarify since not everyone may know that...anyway i doubt they will check much. for one, there must be at least a few hundred accounts with similar IP address and i seriously do not think they will purposely track an account to study its log in time and compare and contrast it with that of another account...im sure they have much better things to do which would incur greater benefit into the community as a whole than to check for multiple logging-in...if u ask me ill say they may just close one eye at times. maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it
Soulthresher
If they really wanted to pursue it, they will detect it and punish you for it.
