Edge furnance or Neitiz furnance?

Considering I have 18k gold ores to smelt,

which one is better for long term goal?

I have done varrock easy and medium tasks.

Edge can smelt 2 ores sometimes.

Neitiz has no doors to block you.

Which one is better..?

thanks

neitz:

the smelting-two-at-a-time doesn't add up for the time saved:

neitz is one click bank (edge 2click)

neitz has no doors (edge has 1 door)

and neitz is slightly closer (you can click from bank to furnace and back without having to click on "walk here spots")

Does the effect smelt two bars at once using two sets of ores, or does it make two bars from one set? If it's the latter, than it wouldn't make a difference for gold. If it's the former, I'd still go to Neitiznot/Port Phasmatys.

I had it with smelting steel: you use 2 sets of ore at once to make 2 bars, so you don't get an extra bar :(

I would also recommend the furnace at Neitiznot - when you factor in the distance from the bank, lack of doors and the one-click bank, it's much faster.

Varrock armour is good for mining; you can get two ores for the price of one click, it's a nice little bonus when it happens!

only id some1 timed it i'd vote for... Varrock

In fact the longest time in smelting is... smelting.

The time got when the oreq both smelt and the rate it occurs (in my almost80s) cover the doors/distance short difference.

you don't get any additionnal bar, it simply smelt 2 ores in the same time... the indication is clear on that.

With a nice agility and light weight outfit, you are never out of energy in both places. That is what makes them efficient.

So, if you are a 'front of keyboard' player, varrock will be your imho as you need to be clic-efficient.

If you are a little more AFKer or have big slow fingers (or even a carnivorage mouse that bit you when you clic), Neitiznot will suit better.

Of course the mining addition is paying the effort you made.

Oh baby light the dark side...

Definitely edge is better. Edge is 22/23 steps from furnace to bank compared to 17 steps for neitiznot. The special from v armor activates 1 or 2 times per 28 ores so thats about 3-4 seconds saved each ore, that's about 6-8 seconds saved, more than extra running time. You can also spin camera to be able to click door from bank booth.

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Thanks guys.

I tried both.

and the answer is

Edge furnace.

The 2 bars effect from varrock 2 armor is pretty helpful.

it doesn't show up everytime, but at least 1-2 times per run.

and for long period of smelting it helped me a lot.

thank again guys!
