Becoming a new member

I'm becoming a member for the first time, and just was wondering what would be the most fun, or the best bang for the buck.

I have all my f2p skills 60-80. So wasn't planing on trying to level up any p2p skills because that wouldn't matter because I only plan to try it for a month.

How about treasure trails? Do you need member skills to do well? I think that I would have the most fun doing that.

Any suggestions would be great.

Here are my stats

Welcome to REAL Runescape, then.

I don't see what you would want to go back to F2P for, there's not a whole lot of fun things to do in P2P that don't require a little bit of work with member's skills and items.

For example, Castle Wars is good fun but you'll get pwned if you're only fighting in Full Rune. All dragon weapons aside from the spear and axe require a quest to use so you'll probably have to do some member's quests which usually means a few member skills.

Treasure Trails is understandable since you want some f2p items to bring back with you to show what you did in P2P, but most good clue scrolls require some basic skills and knowledge of major questing areas around Runescape.

Once you go P2P you'll never want to go back. If you can find a way to pay for P2P for a long period, I suggest you do it.

Officially retired on 12/10/07, no drop parties because that might be "covertly trading wealth". What does one person's happiness(until they quit) mean compared to the hours I wasted while runecrafting, anyways?

Work on agility. Get yourself a toy mouse, you'll get 20 levels in 20 minutes =P

I'd suggest questing, getting some nice stuff and such. Don't listen to the guy above me. as long as you have decent combat knowledge, and a world map open, and a guide, you'll be able to do clue's totally efficiently.

And, play castlewars =]]

Try Help & Advice next time.

As for the topic, I would suggest training Agility or something. Do Lost City first as you can wield a Dragon Longsword. Then, do Monkey Madness to wield a Dragon Scimitar.

I don't know much as I'm F2P.. but, I did some research and this advice seemed helpful.

1.) get flecthing to 70 (its going to take a while.. it will pay off) yew bows and high alch, yew long/short(s) + fire staff + nature rune = 768gp(strung longbow) or 480gp(strung shortbow). In other words.. high alchin' yew bows.

2.) Drops 'n' Barrows.. oh and the god wars dungeons :)

3.) try luck with clue scrolls

i would suggest doing elemental workshop and then training on earth elementals. they got me to lvl 60 in all 3 melee skills. you can also use the massive amount of earth runes to cast crumble undead on the undead ones at the shilo gate for magic lvls.

Currently will be using my Oni Tsurugi account to attempt to get 99 on all free skills without spending any gp, just for the sake of doing so.

I would suggest not becoming a member unless you can permanently.(until you quit) Trust me, going back to f2p after being a member really makes you think "wow f2p sucks".

For treasure trails, you need to access certain areas that are only available if you do certain quests. Work on some member skills so you can unlock all the different areas.

Quests to unlock areas:

The Giant Dwarf (Keldagrim)

Regicide (Elf Lands and 4th(?) part in series)

Priest in Peril (Eastern Lands)

In Search/Aid of Myrque and Darkness of Hallowvale (More eastern areas)

Monkey Madness (Ape Atoll and also Dragon Scimmy <3: )

Lost City (Zarnias and D long and Dagger)

Bio Hazard (West Ardy...leading to Elf Lands)

Fremmenik Isles (Islands of Neitiznot and Jatizso)

Lunar Diplomacy (Lunar Isle and Lunar Magic)

....all i can think of atm

Quests for Teleports and Magic:

Eager's Ruse (Trollheim Teleport)

Watchtower Quest (Watchtower Teleport)

Plaugue City (Ardy Teleport)

Dream Mentor + Lunar Diplomacy (Fully unlocks Lunar Magic)

Desert Treasure (Unlocks Ancients <3: )

Do your own thing. Do what you want to do. If you want to just explore, go questing, training, skilling, whatever you want, that's what RuneScape is all about, do what you want to do. Also, take a look at Tip.It's New Members Guide.

I'd definatly try castle wars, even if you just have rune, its an awesome minigame.

I'd also just explore, visit the new members cities and you'll eventually find something you'll enjoy doing.

Going back to f2p is gonna suck...
