~|Fastest F2P Smelting Spot?|~

Featured Replies

I've always thought Al Karid was the fastest F2P smelting spot but some people have told me the edgeville one was okay too..

So I'm asking you guys, which one is faster?

If your wondering what I'm going to smelt, it's 150k steel bars ::'

wow, they put a furnace in edgeville? well, i haven't played in a while, so i'd just say use al kharid because i've never used edge.

Retired from runescape. I will be on every now and then though. :)

The Edgeville furnace is P2P only, as it requires parts of the Varrock Achievement Diary to have been completed.

Fastest spot for F2P is still Al Kharid.

Yup, Al Kharid is fastest for F2P but can someone comfirm Edgeville is fastest for P2P. #-o

F2p : definetly Edge !

In smelting, the running/doors can't match the random but effective double ore at same time.

Event netiznot without doors and banking 1 clic isn't that fast.

And, piece of cake : you can occasionnaly make some nice trades there !

Oh baby light the dark side...

The only way to beat Al Kharid in F2P is to superheat in the bank lobby.

Superheating in the bank lobby is also fastest in P2P.

It's an expensive proposition, though.

PvP is not for me

The Edgeville furnace is P2P only.

Al-Kahrid is the closest furnace while superheating is the fastest smelting method.

If you are doin' that many bars I would like you to consider getting a membership for a month because Port P is much shorter than Al'K.

IMO, don't smelt 150k steel bars.

I've personally have smelted around 50k. Not sure exactly but

after a while I lost track of them. I'm a lv 94 smither and a lot of

my smithing xp was done through smelting steel, addy and rune.

If you still are smelting 150k steel bars then consider this.

Assuming you do 400 bars a hour (based on my experience)

it will take you 375 hours to complete this task. If you were

working full time, 40 hours a week, it will take u about 9 weeks

to do.

If you are still determined to do it then I salute you. =D>

Best F2P smelting spot is Al-Kharid for sure!

Not edgeville...its P2P :shame:

The falador smelting house is just a bit closer using the west bank rather than using the alkarid one.

no al kharid is closer

Al Kharid is closer than Falador. Anyone who told you that Edgeville is faster is a P2Per who never goes on F2P servers
