If you fall off the top part near the big netting thing, you fall into an area with no exit hole or vine. I'm hoping slayer can be done with wild pies, since you need to kill the monster. Hmmm.... I need a new siggy, get round to doing it later. Probably. Should you let this plant go 'wild', it will grow into an impressive Slayer monster. You cannot be assigned to kill the jade vine, but doing so will earn you a handy 3000 Slayer experience. I see this info as that you will want the jade vine to grow "wild", which mean that you don't want to go back and check on it as Horacio says you should and also that you then shouldn't want to pay Horacio to look after it for you? I'm also unsure if you can check health first and then let it grow wild after that. I cleared my patch just now and got a new seed. Planted that and paid Horatio to look out for it. They are all connected and just keep trying untill you come out on the other side of the river. Then you go through the things you have to cut. And it's pretty straigth forward untill you get to the vine's roots. Summary: - Go onto the beginng of the maze - Go east and climb up - Go south and climb down - Go west and climb down to the ground - Run west (past the wasps) to the hole in the vine - Enter the hole and look where you exit: * If you don't exit on the hole in the vine on the other side of the river, enter the hole you just exited and keep going untill you are at your destination (in other words: Keep trying!) * If you do exit on the east side of the river, you can continue - Cut the things to the south - Go east and climb onto the vine - Go to the south and climb up - Go to the west and climb down - Go to the west and climb up - Walk over the river (I never fell here) - Go south and climb down - Go east and cimb down the vine to the ground And you're there! Oh, I also had a question: "Is the Jade vine patch only usefull for the Slayer exp you get from killing the wild version, or can you keep it from getting wild and get other exp instead?" quantumkik Posted October 11, 2007 Share Posted October 11, 2007 Information about the vine after quest: A few hours after I planted the vine, I saw no change. When I logged in the next day, it was ready to "check". That was about 21 hours after planting. I'm guessing that it takes about the same time as a fruit tree. I came back a few hours later and then it was ready to "prune". I did that, although I think you're not supposed to (I think this will keep the vine from growing wild). Today I logged in and it was ready to "attack". I killed the plant the same way as in the quest (used 1 sip of antipoison). That was less then 24 hours after checking. I got 3,5k slayer xp, so the message about the 3k confuses me a bit. Will check it again next time. Anyhow, this means in the worst case you get 1,5k farming xp and at least 3k slayer xp each 2 days.
