If your mining your own pure ess, it might be okay, but you would have to either use a different bank or spend money on the runes to pay the guy to open your bank for you. For me (@66 RC) I'm getting around 16 xp per ess, which is a more than 50% increase on crafting deaths through the abyss. cat666 Posted October 11, 2007 Share Posted October 11, 2007 The runes are not fully random, truthscape has some interesting figures. However for the average person they are random. I would recommend having levels for all protection prayers, and also completing Lunar Diplomacy so you can use the Lunar teleport straight to the altar. I forget the "official" ZMI world (71 is ringing bells but don't quote me) but if you craft there you will get a lot of free teles to the Lunar Isle bank. That is the fastest way to craft there. If you are rich then use ZMI. Otherwise Abyss is WAY faster. I only ran two sets to general store before changing to abyss and never considered goin' back. meol Posted October 12, 2007 Share Posted October 12, 2007 You really shouldn't bump with the same question after two minutes, it's not that necessary. You should also say what exactly do you need help with, the ZMI altar or the abyss? In order to use the ZMI altar for the best exp, you should be using Lunar Teleports to go to and fro. Seeing you already have lvl 72 magic, you could use the Ourania Teleport to go to the altar, go through the short route, using protection prayers if needed, craft the runes, then Moonclan Teleport to go back, and reapeat. In order to use the Abyss, you must first unlock it through a miniquest. I'd recommend you to read these entries before trying it, so that you know what to expect. The Abyss entry on the RC guide, and the abyss map. You should wear cheap armour that gives magic defence, a glory, weight-reducing items and a bronze pickaxe. I have heard people talk about it, but never had it explained in detail. I can access the abyss, I also have the first 3 pouches, small, med, and large. I am 68 def.
