RazorAce
Ok, im 95% sure my computer is not good for RS. Intel Celeron CPU 2.53GHz 2.53GHz 256 MB of RAM Idk, you tell me. Anyway, we know mines not good, what would be a good computer to get for RS? http://s9.invisionfree.com/pec <--Best clan ever.
Medellin
Umm, why isn't it good enough? My brother plays it at 1.6 ghz AMD Athlon with the same RAM and it doesn't lag
RazorAce
 Well.. lol, if thats the case, how much faster could i get RS to run. =P http://s9.invisionfree.com/pec <--Best clan ever.
blade995
 Well.. lol, if thats the case, how much faster could i get RS to run. =P That computer is perfectly fine for runescape. If the game is running lag free (which it should be with those specs) then you don't need it faster and you probably wouldn't notice the speed improvement anyway. Runescape is more based on internet speed (ping time, not bandwidth) than your system specs.

Hey, blade995, I know I'm gonna sound crazy, but since RazorAce didn't say what OS they are trying to use, and if they are trying to play RuneScape on WinXP with only 256 MB of Physical RAM, then they definitely need a RAM upgrade. I have found that RuneScape can need up to 128 MB of space in RAM just to function inside of its' Java scratchpad area sometimes. Other than that, you're right, RazorAce's system specs shouldn't be an issue. RazorAce, just out of curiosity, who's your ISP? :-s ~Mr. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... adam_ross0
You'll be fine. I used to play RS (USED TO...now this computer's in my room, barely playing RS) on the following: 433 mhz Intel Celeron Processor (ack, Intel >.<) 160 MB RAM 56.6 Kbps Dial-up internet (I have a good broadband connection now) 4 GB HD Space 8 MB Integrated Video Card Windows 98 Second Edition ....yeah....I'm CERTAIN that if I used to play RS on THAT...yours will be perfectly capable

That and the video card (32 MB FTW?) and possibly a potential need for a slightly quicker CPU (Like 500 MHz) ........... But other than that, you're definitely fine. :) On the other hand (and to get back on-topic), I still have yet to hear what RazorAce's OS and ISP are... :-k ...once I know, I'll be able to go to the right spot in my brain. <*Walks out, dizzy and overloaded... Doomster
If its 256MB RAM & onboard graphics, check how much RAM you have left. I've seen 256/onboard set to use 64MB RAM for graphics (BIOS setting) and it is a waste. If it's like that set the graphics RAM lower, maybe as low as 8MB. If there is another setting, AGP aperture, set that to 64MB, as it will be used only when needed - even 128 won't hurt.

Denismage
Your computer is fine, I remember playing on Celeron 1.7 Ghz, 256 mb ram and everything ran smoothly. Now I have an Intel Celeron D 330 (2.66 Ghz) over clocked to 3.6 Ghz and 1.5gb ram, runescape runs the same. Edit: OS: Windows XP

I formatted Windows off of the computer..I backed up the only thing worth keeping, which was a game, and took off the rest. I nstalled DSL verson 0.9.3...I reformatted and upgraded that to version 4.0 last night. I'm very happy with it right now ^_^
