What the hell are you doing with my skills?

It's a simple thing

  • First of all the Assist Area should have recent things the person you are assisting/you have said so that you have a greater understanding of why you are helping them.

Also, you should be able to see the various skill levels that the assistant/assister has (so that you don't fall into the trap of helping someone who can already do the things they 'need' your assistance for)

Finally, you should gain experience regardless of whether the person you are assisting can currently do that thing or not - this means that you will not even have that current situation I said above ('so that you don't fall into the trap of helping someone who can already do the things they 'need' your assistance for')

It's a simple idea, one that Jagex should be able to do easily - supports or criticism please?

Boom! Dead Shot

I support this idea, especially the last part of it. If someone actually takes part of his time to help someone else, their time shouldn't be wasted if the other person already has the required levels.

Why would someone ask for help if they can do it already? :-k

The point of not letting the assister get xp for which the assisstee can already do is because, say you wanted to make some mith grapples and some mith daggers, and you had smithing 53. You ask someone to assisst you in making the mith grapples, but you want to/accidentally do the mith daggers as well. Then the assister would get the xp for something they didn't assist with, and the assistee would lose their xp.

Hmmm....

I need a new siggy, get round to doing it later.

Probably.

No... if you CAN make it yourself, you get the xp anyways.

to make you stand around unable to do anything(to pee you off) like most runescapians would love to do

My Goal Signature

it would be nice if you could do something while assisting, standing there doing nothing while you help a lower lvl fish is really boring (ex: being able to fish while helping lower level fish at same time)

You can stand around not doing anything by yourself. Why do you need to accept someone's help in order to do this?

If someone is not doing what is agreed, you can then withdraw the assist and go off and do what you want. Just because someone says 'assist plz' doesn't mean that you should assist them. In fact, 'fr33 st00f plz' is essentially the same as 'assist plz'. You are essentially getting the stuff yourself and then giving it to the noob who won't give anything back for the service. Treat them the same and explain that the best way to progress in the game is to level up skills.
