Veracs vs. Slayer Dart at Barrows

Featured Replies

Ok, well my friend is wondering whether he should use veracs or slayer dart at Barrows. His stats-

(combat-99)

Attack-79

Strength-81

Defence-77

Hitpoints-81

Ranged-80

Prayer-64

Magic-77

Cost doesn't really matter, he's just looking for which method would be fastest, or would let him do the most runs. Thanks!

Slayer dart, I suggest at least 85+ att and strenght before trying verac, I tried it with 80 80 80 and it was way slower then just magic dart.

When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done.

All skills 80+

Just tell him to take both slayer dart and veracs.

Slayer dart.

For veracs to be effective you need 85+ attack, 80+ strength and 80+ defense.

Slayer dart with ~300 def bonuses armor, and use veracs when u have 85+ attack strength like many who said it.

Total Level 2247- 11x 99s All Combat Skills, Slayer, Summoning, Woodcutting, Herblore

Slayer dart is more effective than Veracs on the melee brothers even when you have level 95+ Attack and Strength.

Define 'effective'.

Using veracs saves you alot of runes

"Effective" = "Waste less time standing around or using up prayer pots".

Doing the Barrows faster means you get rewards faster, and that covers the cost of the runes.

Veracs is only effective if you have 90+ att and str (and use super att and str pots). At 99 combat, it will take too long to kill them, so go with slayer dart.

I've done about 255 runs with veracs with about 35M in profit. A lot of that was from runes from the chests (I think it was like 14/35M). Even if you have 99 att and str + super pots, a person with slayer dart will usually kill them a little faster; however, the rune drops more than make up for it.

define: slot of runes, cause @ 80 magic i only use around 100 casts per trip and most times less than that, besides at the end of each trip i mostly get all my runes back plus some from the chest....

i recommend slayer dart
