Crystal Bow Discounts

I've been thinking that I should start getting my crystal bow recharge price down, and that i should get my crafting level up, so I thought of killing blue dragons. Would I be able to make my money back alching blue vambraces and keeping the bones? Would I have to sell the bones? Where should I kill them? I wouldn't need an anti-fire shield safespotting, right?

you would probaly have to sell the bones to make a profit or break even.

The first full recharge is 900k, right? I still have my first bow, and it's down to 1/10 at the moment...

If you want to train range, i would say bone bolts on a low lvl monster. Bone bolts are 4gp each so at the price of the cheapest bow (180k) you could get 45k bolts!! Use those at lessers or anywhere else you choose.

If you want to get the price down, you will lose money. Just bite the bullet and use the bow. No matter where you use the crystal bow, it still costs the same amount per shot. You are probably better off saving the bones and making the money back some other way such as runecrafting.

They are two different items, the charge of one item has absolutely no effect on the other.

He wants to level crafting, and blue dragons is going to achieve him this. Bone bolts wouldn't work on blues effectively and there arent that many other monsters that'll work for his situation. To answer the question, this is what I do for range/crafting. And I keep the bones(But my cbow is already down to 180k). Ogre enclave would be your best bet, make about 150 home tabs, get like 20 dueling rings fully charged, and move your house to yanille. After your full inventory, tp to cwars using ring and bank/eat to heal. Use tab to go to house, recharge any prayer used, leave house and run back. Wash, rinse, and repeat.

Wrong, you can use the crystal shield to get the cost of the bow down to 180k cheaper but I still wouldn't recommend it.

 

 

 

You don't save a whole ton of money and who wants to degrade like 3 or 4 of them afterwards just to get the price down cheaper?

 

 

 

Just keep buying the Bow until it goes down to 180k because when you degrade it atleast you will be gaining a good amount of ranged exp with it.

I have 5 crystal bows and I say they are not worth it. I have 81 range and can kill blues pretty fast with bone bolts. I used crystals a lot obviously and I have decided the faster exp is NOT worth the extra cost. If you are generally melee then I would say crystal shields could be an easy way to drop charge price.

EDIT: Also, wouldn't using the crossbow shortcut to scale the wall be faster than teleporting to Castle Wars?

I would reduce the charges on Green Dragons rather than Blues.

 

If you just wear black dhide top and bottom, glory and cbow, just go up to Graveyard greens and kill them, then tele edge with your glory. It's relatively safe from PKers(you won't lose anything important if they do kill you) and you can easily safespot the dragons. They'll die much quicker than blues, and their hides are better for crafting, since you'll be able to kill them faster and the difference between blue hides and green hides is small, so you'll be able to kill more greens than blues. Plus you'll get more DBones to sell and more loot, making it much more efficient and profiting.

I've been killed there twice, and attacked several times. There dfinately is a significant reisk, at least at my level. That is, unless I bring bursts which I always do now.
