This is rather blatant bug abuse, and it would be wise of people to stop admitting doing it on a public forum.

How so? No one's actually gaining an advantage anywhere... in fact it's probably a disadvantage to train on tutorial island since you can't actually sell to a shop...

You don't see an advantage to being able to level mining and smithing in a spot where there are 20 of each ore rock, a furnace and an anvil right next to each other?

This is false I have tried it, many many times.

It's not false, I just did it (and reported it).

You cannot level mining past 3, and you do not gain any smelting experience either. You can make 13 bronze daggers per inventory. Then you have to drop them, and redo the whole process. Yes it should be fixed, but it's not going to cause mass chaos for new players and such.

It doesn't have to give you an advantage to violate the rule:

You must not use or attempt to use any cheats or errors which you find in our software.

Any exploits which you find must be immediately reported to Jagex through Customer Support.

As long as you're "abusing" a bug then it's violating the rule.

(just stating what it says, I think this smithing thing on the island is awesome :D)

Following a thread that got locked because nobody understood what the author meant, I did some experiments on tutorial island. Here's what i found out :

- Smithing can now be raised above level 3 on tutorial island (currently 13)

- Smithing is now the only skill on tutorial island that allows make x

- Making bronze bars give no xp after level 3

Credits go to BloodArgon for the discovery

I'm still trying to find out if it has a point but lol

If there is no cap at all than it's the perfect way to train smithing until you can do iron

I think that lvl. 3 is high enough.

All the other skills are lvl. 3 so why don't keep it 3.

If you want to get smithing lvl. 10 on tutorial then raise all the other skills too.

I don't really think this has any good in it... <.<

Just lost 2mil ;)

U can only raise the smithing lvl higher than 3. :?

The points are:

You get faster, quicker exp

You don't get any random event rubbish

Nobody bothers you or annoys you cos u cant talk on tut

U can't die

U can get some money quick when u end tut for better armour and wepons

Need I carry on?....

There's no point of doing that cos it would be better outside tut island as you would also get mining exp...... :wall:

That's true... but once you leave the island and if you train mining and smithing together, your mining will always be higher as exp is faster.
