Booing as woman dies in queue

Your losing your superiority over us aussies..

You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you."

Where is the love by the Black Eyed Peas rocks.

:?: How is that... relevant?

Anyway, I think that these people either didn't know what had happened, and/or were REALLY annoyed at anything which made their queue even slower. I think that both were the case. Since the queue was described as 'long', and considering this is the entire load of passengers for a plane, I seriously doubt that everyone actually saw the heart attack and so were probably just booing the staff as they went past, assuming that they were really doing something pointless and wasting time.

I bet the booing stopped abruptly when they saw a dead body being wheeled the other way on a stretcher.

And yes, airports do sometimes show the worst of people, but that is exactly what excruciating boredom and tiredness does. I'm sure we've all been through it at lease once.

maybe listen to it and find out?

I'd be booing, I mean she's a stranger to the staff, they could have just moved her and gotten something to move her after, she's dead, I highly doubt she cares whats happening to her..

She wasn't dead when they went to help her.

Oh, sorry, in that case I don't really blame 'em

The title is quite misleading. It makes the situation sound like an episode of 'The Simpsons'... Fortunately, I doubt any society has gone that far to the dogs (actually 'booing' at someone for dying in a queue... "Boo, shame on you! Now we have to stand here with a corpse next to us!")

Heh, true. Sometimes I think that the world is getting more and more like 'The Simpsons' every day. Or is that just a side effect of reading too many news articles in the Off-Topic forum?

This article is one of the most misleading i've ever seen. As I said already, it makes it appear as though thousands of people saw the lady die and started booing because now they had to wait AND had to wait with a corpse next to them.

Whoever wrote the article added a tiny statement "the public didn't know what was going on." With thousands of people, its not exactly easy to see whats happing to one individual. You can't blame the people exactly (even though booing is very rude), they just boo'd 'cause they realized the had to wait longer. They didn't know the cause. And the person writing this made everyone think otherwise. Shame on the journalist...

tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :(
But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities.
That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.

Apparently a lot of people say it. I own.

I guess far less people would have read it if it was called "Woman Dies Amongst Frustrated Throng" or something.

They just write whatever to sell. I had a friend who's mother died in a car accident and a local journalist made up a twisted murder plot or something and got it published in the newspaper.

:-s Thats Auzzies for you

Thats ignorance trying to manifest itself in humor for you.

Hint, it failed.

Although this incident involved a death, "wow an old person died of a heart attack call in the extreme abnormality department", it was an unfortunate happening in a common airport situation. When I was at heathrow last year people were treated so much worse.

The problem was the fog, completely different from lack of staff and not within the power of humans to control at the moment. But all planes were to be grounded. Thousands of passengers were packed into large tents which from experience took 3 hours to reach the end.

"Boo Hoo" you say. This was a necessary step to getting ones ticket reissued on another flight. The problem was no one was told anything. Everyone was just directed to stand in these tents as soon as possible if they had to make a flight. One could ask a staff member why we were to stand in these tents and the answer was one of no substance. It wasn't till an hour and a half that the fog was the reason was announced.

Now I'm quite able of standing in a line for three hours, but there was a frail old lady with all her luggage expected to stand there, she could barely push her trolley. Not one staff member did [cabbage] about it. Customer service is non existent. It was only the kindness of a lady that brought attention to her.

But this treatment isn't restricted to that of which is the monstrosity of Heathrow. Governments have screwed airports up completely. The paying customer is looked upon as nothing more then dirt. In the states a stray sentence, or one searching for a laugh is looked upon so gravely. Terrorists have fricken won. Garr I've had this rant before and wont start it again.

But seriously its not Australia its the fricken world. We don't know how to treat each other. We care about ourselves and little else. We are given ideas of what it is that we need to be something. So we pursue them regardless of who is in the way. Garr this is sounding so corny. That last part is, I'm just going to stop writing, no one will read it anyway.
