Using Bolts at Fight Caves instead of Crystal Bows

Featured Replies

I am getting quite annoyed with my failed attempts at Fight caves, and aving to drain my bows each time is really tedious. I heard many people now choose to do the Caves using bolts, and I am quite curious at how expensive it is and whether any of the method changes. I also like the idea of using maybe some more expensive bolts [dragonstone bolts] on Jad for a quicker cape. If you have any suggestions or advice please post 'em here. :)

Well you figure you WANT to have hp when doing fightcaves so Ruby (e) bolts are out of the question.

Which leaves you with Emmy (e) and Diamond (e)... I think Diamond would be the way to go definatly. Because Emmy would hit less and less often, and D-stone or Onyx would be ridiculously expensive for the amount you'd need for all 63 waves of the Caves.

You could try about 5-6k Diamond (e) and then buy 1-2k D-Stone (e) for Jad. That would be good if you have the money for it. In fact when I go back to get my cape, if I ever do, I can see myself using this set-up. Easily, actually.

BTW, Current prices, courtesy of Zybez PG:

Diamond (e)-----> 850-900 ea (be cheaper IMO to buy addy + diamonds and craft own laws to enchant yourself)

Dragstone (e)---> 8k-9k (noone said it would be cheap #-o :-w )

and If you really wanted to waste time and money buying:

Onyx Bolts (not enchanted) ---> 20-25k each :-X

Apparently, my signature was to big.

I was thinking about taking 1k mith bolts (e) for the 62 waves before Jad, then switching to diamond bolts and then after healers whacking him with about twenty dragonstone bolts and switching back to diamond. I have most of these banked so it wouldn't cost me too much. I am using an accumulator so you know.

with 81 range i managed to get jad with 1,7k mith bolts where only 500 of them broke.

and using 100 diamond (e) for jad is enough

Thanks that's all I needed to know. :D

I advice to use emerald bolts on Jad first, the poison really helps.

One time i did it using diamond (e)bolts until jad, then killing him with ruby (e).Because you're using prayers, you dont need all that much hp. If he hits you, you're probably dead anyways.(he can hit over 100)You're alos using sara brews to heal.

IMO, crystal bow is easier and cheaper.

Use a bolt pouch. That way you can use regular mith until the higher waves, then switch to emerald or diamond, and maybe even dstone on jad.

Hartlar mi harty.

Muggi suggests 3k mith or higher bolts for fight caves. Good luck, don't let Jad narb get to you.

Just learn the trick to reducing only 1 bow at a time.

I used about 400 mith in the end and not many diamond for Jad.

Onyx may just be the perfect bolt for Jad if you can afford them. Not only do they heal you, but I hear they can hit harder than dragonstone bolts (not sure if this is true)

Proud owner of a Quest cape!

15 min ago i readed all fighting caves guide and decided to dont do it before i get like 90 def/attack/str and pray 70+ and range 86 or highter.. :D

Suggestion: You can use Anchor on Waterfiends - is cheap if to compare to GS & effective with crush attack & it hit like Whip.
