ca2theone, you are giving a few examples. I am talking about a much larger scale. In my opinion maybe 1 or 2 out of every 100 stakers bought their gp.

 

 

 

I think main erason is equality and not gp buying. Stakers got too rich too fast.

first of all, JaGeX didn't kill staking, tehy jsut added 3K limit to stakes. Many people would say that's teh same as actually killing it but it is not. Remember when you enter tournaments arena you get a message saying dueling is a honourable pasttime . that's the thing, it's not for living from it, but for passing your free time, something like a hobby. Second it's honourable, it's for honour and combat experience (that is much more valuable then soem gold coins). As i have said before : @JaGeX did a great job, Filtered the noobs who were in it for money from dueling. \

Your highest skill is 72 magic as far as I saw. You are judging a large group of people that worked very hard to build up their stakers and played a risky game. It was their choice and they were deprived of their playstyle to force equality.

 

 

 

Sorry, but just because you are after honor and not coins doesnt mean they were. You can not force your views and playstyle on others.

Even if this IS true; why the 12k/hour limit?(Thats 3k/15minutes, for some of you..)

 

 

 

Seriously, even a 50k/15 minute limit would have probably been accepted, and even if this IS true, how many people actually do it? Is it too hard to accept that stakers may keep a pile of cash in reserve to build back up if they get cleaned? And really, wouldn't it be simpler for JaGEx to either sell gold for lower prices or have the goldselling sites shut down and file tons of lawsuits against their owners for copywrite infringement?(All the items coded into Runescape are the property of JaGEx Ltd; therefore any person selling them for cash is stealing property and infringing on the copywrites concerning Runescript, the Java language used to code RS. Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but use legit proof.)

Here's my rational oppinion: Jagex destroyed staking to add to their increasing (rapidly) list of dissapointing and stupid updates. They want to get to level 99 game ruining skill :D .

We're not saying there are conspiracies, we're saying Jagex are morons for picking such a weak link of RWT and the fact that they killed of a popular past-time for thousands of people. They could have done something so much more efficient but instead they thought it would be smart to simply kill of staking.

First of all, how the hell am I supposed to tell sarcasm from regular conversations on the internet? I don't know you, nor can I hear your tone of voice, so why are you trying to play it off as it being "sarcastic"?
