Leveling up range

Featured Replies

I need to get my range up from 40 to 60. What should I train on - I want something that will drop fairly O.K stuff - ( clues, runes, etc...)

And when I'm level 60 what should I do ?

Try ogres

Suggestion: You can use Anchor on Waterfiends - is cheap if to compare to GS & effective with crush attack & it hit like Whip.

I've noticed you've posted a lot of things you're going to do, i would stick with one thing at a time, and don't play too far ahead.

But for something to train range from 40 to 60, i would do rock crabs or experiments. They dont drop anything special, but they give the best xp, and are really easy to kill.

Just wait till 70, then train on harder things to get good drops. You'll be rewarded better.

But i guess you could try ice giants, but im not sure whether range iss effective towards them.

Ogres drop big bones, wich is good for prayer.

Try Hill Giants. Drops limpwurts, runes and big bones.

Experiments are the best exp. they drop nothing but bones. But the best exp. I train on them now to get to lvl 50 and the blue dragon armor :boohoo:

I use to play like that, and i would get too far ahead of myself, and not know what i was doing, and get nothing done.

Now that i'm actually making plans on one skill, im actually getting things done. \'

Try this guide, its for getting to lvl99, but it works all the same.

Here

Okay well first off I think you need to decide what you want more, good drops or good exp... a lot of people try to get the best of both worlds but the simple answer is, its hard to find..

Personally I'm an exp kinda guy. I would advise doing experiments or rock crabs with iron knives till 70. Then fire giants to whatever level you want after that.

You won't start getting "good" drops till you can range harder things anyways.. So exp at lower levels would be more important. Just stick it out at the lower levels once you get higher you can start to get better drops and fast exp. Its one of those things ya gotta do.. ::'

Apparently, my signature was to big.

I would suggest the following:

40-50 Hill Giants

60-70 Moss Giants

70-80 Ogres/Fire Giants

80-90+ Fire Giants

With this method you will get decent loot, and great xp. It will not take too long vs. rock crabs/experiments, and is a lot more fun. Also, you will get tons of prayer xp with this method. I just hope, unlike myself, you will train prayer.

I'm simply gathering information. I'm using this information bit by bit - its not like I've set goals of 99 for every skill. Curb your flaming nature. But thanks for your help
