dolomite129
The prices of items are really changing now because of the updates. But what about alchemy? It's probably the only source of money in the game that hasn't changed yet. You alch a yew longbow? You still get 768 coins every time. But what about the prices of fletching materials? What happens if the total price to make a yew longbow goes up and people stop buying the materials to make yew longbows? With less money coming into the game, what'll that do to the economy? I know questions go in the other forum, but this one doesn't really have an answer, more like speculation. So what I'm trying to say is, since the value of money you get from alching never changes, shouldn't the prices of fletching materials and stuff like that be changing based on the alchemy price? I'd like to know your thoughts. It's dolomite, baby!Dark matter - Each pound of which weighs over ten thousand pounds.
Altra
If the price of yew logs exceeds the high alch value, people will just stop buying. If people stop buying, sellers will be forced to lower the price, and the market value will gradually (although purhaps too gradually ) lower back down to the amount that buyers are willing to pay. That is, of course, unless Jagex puts ceilings on items, as well as floors -.- Owner of quest cape since December of 2006

meili
Um actually in RS1 and before bots/RWT'ers became so common in Rs2 high alch prices were always lower than the price of buying all the materials to high alch. Fletching used to be a respected skill, too. I don't see the problem, to be honest the current system is too easy. It's an artificial system that was run by RWT'ers bots. I make my living on natures... If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased. The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?

the_god_of_soup
^. I sure hope final product costs don't rise, I'm so close ti 99 Magic I can taste it. The spelling and grammar of that email was that of an 11 year old palestinian goatboy who is speaking english for the first timeQuite simply, Facebook craps on Myspace. Then makes it eat the crap. alcoolj
Surely it's rather obvious? Yew logs and pure ess will both rise in price due to the lack of bots around. Flax will have a steady rate, as will bowstrings. Quite soon, yew longs will be more expensive to make and you will lose money if buying raw materials to gain xp. Hence you will have to actually go and collect the goods yourself *shock, horror!*
