May 1, 200521 yr Well as you may or may not know, Bud Selig (MLB commissioner) has propsed a new steroid solution. He was previously quite criticized for his new/old solution, I believe it was something like 3 games + small fine for 1st offence. Today, he has proposed the following: 1st offence : 50 Games 2nd offence: 100 Games 3rd offence: Lifetime ban. Now I think that its about time. Someone has to do something to get rid of these cheating idiots. I could not agree more with this proposed offer by Bud Selig, which will most likely be soon in place. Thoughts? Bmw
May 1, 200521 yr hmm, matters who they're cutting out. How does a profession differ from an occupation?
May 1, 200521 yr thats more like it...they need to be strict enough to scare players to not take those superman pills, the other solution i thought was a complete joke....now this solution seems to be the answer! ~ZeLoT~
May 1, 200521 yr Baseball is totally alien to me but I think by using steroids to gain an illegal advantage should warrant a ban like this in any sport. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
May 1, 200521 yr Baseball is totally alien to me but I think by using steroids to gain an illegal advantage should warrant a ban like this in any sport. I completely agree. If it was my choice though, I probably wouldn't give people a chance if they used steroids. If they are going with Selig's idea, I think it should just be one chance (ie: miss 50 games) and after that, you're done.
May 1, 200521 yr actually i really like the current system. Its very reasonable to some limits. I like the 3 chance ban plan. Just so on the second time if they get falsely accused they don't get banned for nothing. Visit my DeviantArt Page at http://vladmoney.deviantart.com
May 2, 200521 yr hmm, matters who they're cutting out. No, it shouldn't matter one bit whether or not the person is a rookie or going for the all-time career home run record. A crime is a crime and a punishment should be issued indiscriminately. This new plan seems pretty good. I even wouldn't mind seeing it a bit harsher. 3 times for the same offence, especially when it comes to something like steroid usage, for a ban seems a bit too much. I agree with Cutiepie, should be 1st offence: 50 games, 2nd: expelled from MLB.
May 2, 200521 yr I like this. Cheaters should not prosper, and now there is a big reason to play fair. My Blog
May 2, 200521 yr I totally agree, Baseball for the longest time has let steroids go, and its time to clamp down.
May 2, 200521 yr I am a longtime baseball player and fan, and I think steriod use is stupid and you should be banned for first offense. It's like autoing on a game, you dont do the time but you get the reward. and then you get banned... - Only character in Runescape History maxed out in RSC and RS2
May 2, 200521 yr I know a solution! Let them decide what's best. If they want their testicles to shrink, fine with me. As long as they don't make infomercials about them, I'm good.
May 2, 200521 yr 162 games a year...i think...or is that just what it is in Japan....i dunno, been to long since ive lived in the US of A. As for steroids, i cant wait for jose canseco's body to begin to totally deterioate and show the world just how dangerous roids are. but, should taking drugs really be against the rules? that i dont know....
May 2, 200521 yr Be glad I'm not into making punishments for drug abuse in any sport: I personally think it should be more towards: First offence - Banned for half a season* - Fined 25% of their contract. Second offence - Banned for an entire season* - Fined 50% of their contract. Third offence - Banned for baseball for life* - Fined 100% of their contract. Harsh, but sometimes it takes a kick to the balls for some people to get the point :P * Includes coaching, playing (at any level), spokes person, sport-related advertising, etc.. anything you can think of really.
May 2, 200521 yr I can think of two solutions: 1) ban people outright, and 2) make it compulsory, thus making it impossible to get an unfair advantage past the screenings. I'd go for the first one, though... deviantart account
May 2, 200521 yr Ban them right away, I say. no matter what sport it is, they cheating scum don't deserve a second chance, especially no matter who they are. Stars should be taken more seriously, they are who the kids look up to.

May 3, 200521 yr I do like the strict punishment that Bud Selig proposed but I also think they should fine them considerably kind of like what someone earlier posted for fines... but who knows... This could be a gimmick by baseball to comfort congress and the fans with this whole ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅSteroids in Baseball̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
