Making 600k at Mid-lvl combat... How?

Featured Replies

Lol, my 1st time using this "Help n Advice" forum.

So anyway, I need 600k more for a whip, as well as 3 more attack levels. Here are my current stats.

ATTACK 67

STRENGTH 67

DEFENCE 57

PRAYER 52

RANGED 66

MAGIC 73

SLAYER 52

So as I was saying, I need to make 600k more for a whip, and hopefully training my Attack to 70 at the same time and if possible, Defence to above 60 as well. So, any suggestions on some COMBAT-BASED money earning? However, I prefer NOT to... barrows OR go into the wildy while making this 600k.

So, if it's possible to make 600k during combat at these mid-lv stats, please tell me whether it's possible and suggest what I should do. Um, if it's impossible, just say it's impossible and I'll go catch n sell magpies for the 600k. Thx.

blue dragons or slayer. no super good drops but they add up

you could try maging green dragons? They're not far into wildy so if you die to a revenant you can easilly get your stuff back. Just set your respawn to falador and run there. (Buy the 3 minutes grave or better)

It will be crowded but It's nice cash. just dont use a very expensive spell :)

You could also range or melee them it's your choice

Heh. Do u think I can range blue dragons with Rune XBow + Bronze Bolts? Or should I use Iron Bolts? Or maybe a Bone XBow even?

The bone works well against blue drags, especially when ya can pop the special off on 'em-that kill will be easy.

You could also buy flax (or pick, will just take longer, but more profit) and spin into bowstrings and sell.

Dragon drops: 82 (2 claws)

Dagannoth kings drops: 73

Barrows item count: 51

GWD drops: 54 (5 hilts: 1x bandos, 3x saradomin, 1x zamorak)

Whips: 4

Sigils: 1x spectral (FFA), 1x arcane (FFA)

If you've completed the quest "Watchtower", then I suggest you kill Blue Dragons in the Ogre Enclave. There are very few players there since Watchtower is considered a Hard quest, and there are plenty of safe-spots to range the Blue Dragons safely. Recently I've been training my Slayer and was given a few Blue Dragon tasks. Even though my Range is lvl-72 at the time, I was still using Blue Dragon Hide instead of Black Dragon Hide -- I'll get Black Dragon Hide armor when I can make it myself.

Anyways, if you care to try, here's my Range setup:

- Blue d'hide body and chaps

- Iron bolts (started with 10K)

- Rune crossbow

- Helm of Neitiznot

- Anti-dragonfire Shield

- Ava's Attractor

- Boots of Lightness

- Mithril Grapple, for getting over Yanille's south wall

- Runes for Watchtower teleport (2 Laws, 2 Earths)

- Combat bracelet, or Barrow Gloves

- Ring of Wealth

Depending on what you want to do, you may want to switch in different equipment. For example, get about 100 Nature runes, switch out the Earth runes and switch in a Lava battlestaff so that you can teleport out and use the High Alchemy spell. Even with the Ring of Wealth, you'll be lucky to get lots of Addy full helm drops to High Alchemy. Instead, you'll most likely be filling up on Blue dragonhides and banking them in Yanille. Personally, I didn't bother banking the dragon bones and buried them instead. Burying the bones gave me the random chance that Leo the Graveyard Keeper would visit me, giving me a chance to deposit my dragonhides and saving me a trip to and from Yanille. Oh, you'll also need plenty of Nightshade, either picked from the Skavid caves or grown at Draynor's Nightshade farming patch.

A most excellent guide, but one quick question. Why do you need nightshade?

Also one other suggestion for combat cash, try swamp tar via cave slimes via the dorgshu rings. They drop 1-9 at a time, plus coins and hit very low on higher levels--though they can poison--Swamp tar stacks and sell for over 200 or so on Grex. 10 minutes of fighting can net you 100+ tars
