Seanthorn
Right, here are my stats. I'm going to get 65 defence soon, so thats not my problem. My problem is that ugly 66 Strength that I want to get up! The thing is.... I have a whip. I also have a DDP(++), but i feel thats not the best for Strength training. I DO NOT want a Scimmy, as I'll have to do 3-4 quests just to complete Monkey Madness, and i just don't have the time/patience to do so. Here is what i look like!! Now... all seems good. But, i need something that fills my ring slot, and my cape slot. BUT, money IS an issue at the moment. Id prefer if both ring AND cape is LESS than 300k. I was thinking Ring Of Wealth, but thats boring and only increases my chances ov getting a better drop. Cape, i was thinking, Obby. But WAY to expensive at the moment. Now... heres what i want answering:: -Should i sell Ddp(++) and get money for Dragon long? -What Cape/Ring should i get? If answered, how much are they?? -Should i get better gloves? And NO I'm not doing RFD quest. Thanks in advance. =]
no_way2go
You want better items that require quests but don't want to do the quests Just do the four shortest RFD quests, it will take less than an hour and the gloves you get have very nice bonusses. - Back to casual f2p scaping due to limited time (university and girlfriend ) -
Seanthorn
And what are the 4 easiest RFD Quests??

If you are asking for a cape and ring under 300k why would you have to sell your dds and get money to afford a d long worth 100k?? That makes no sense... With the little money you do have a cape and ring are the least of your worries. Don't worry about them. They wont help anything. Better gloves would be RFD gloves, there are nothing better than what you are wearing now as most gloves that arn't from RFD are useless. By not doing quests you are limiting the amount of freedom and "power" you have in the game. I would suggest not being stubborn and maning up to do the quests. They are helpful and make the game more enjoyable once you open up new things. Apparently, my signature was to big.
Seanthorn
Thing is. I just looked through the RFD quest guide. I think quest 4 or 5, i have to have done 7 quests or something. Over half of them i havnv't done. People just don't udnerstand that i HATE quests. Even the really easy ones i havn't bothered to do. Okay, let me not worry about gloves then. What about the cape and ring???

What about the cape and ring??? Again a cape and ring won't give you any bonus' worth having. I mean I can make suggestions... Obby cape (320k'ish) Warrior/Zerker ring (upwards of 600k for warrior and 1m+ for a zerker) Nothing in that slot will help you any, at least not in your price range. A wealth is good, but if you are killing things that drop crap there really is no use in having one. Just suck it up and do the quests. When I became a member it was for everything but quests. I hated them as well, but they made the game easier for me so I kept doing them. So far I have 194 Q Points (kinda close to the cape eh?...) and that is only from doing quests that benefit me. So they are well worth it. Just suck it up, do the quests. Get it over with, and enjoy the game more when you have finished them. Apparently, my signature was to big. Dan_I_Can
If you really don't want to do RFD, consider: -Klanks Gauntlets (+1 or +2 str I think -- Underground Pass) -Cooking/Goldsmith/Chaos Gauntlets (same bonus as klanks, though I dont know what it is... -- Family Crest) Both quite straight forward quests. I think quests are great really :/ I look in my bank, I see quest items, I look at my skills, I couldn't of gotten them without quests. *quest emotes* I'm not uncool enough to have a stat sig.I lied :-p
Alex_Ewan_1
For strength just use a dragon longsword. Keep your full rune its fine for now. pinguimmaiden
Just get a d long if you dont want to make MM, stay with the armour and just buy a zerker helm, better then rune full helm Just remember that d scimmy if faster xp then d long and you will use until 99... Good luck

I would use a ring of wealth if training on a monster with decent drops, or a ring of life if not (just in case you lad to random). For the gloves get a combat bracelet as they are basically as good as mith gloves. For the cape if you can't afford obby just get any cape. +7 bonuses really don't matter too much at your lvl. Will H
The problem is that refusing to do quests, alongside a pretty tight price range severely limits your options. For now I'd suggest forgetting about the cape (Obby cape doesn't have as good a cost to bonus ratio as other items you're missing), and have a go at all recipe for disaster quests up to the point where you're stuck. I know you don't want to do it, but it's worth your time. Seriously. Ice gloves are terrible if you are at the stage where you have a whip. I'm nowhere near to having a whip and yet I have addy gloves (<3:). By your stats, you have a good set of money making skills (WC-76, Fletch-70, Mine-80), so use them a bit more. In fact, you could set yourself a goal to get a skillcape, and that would solve your little cape problem. I would also forget about a combat enhancing ring because decent ones are costly. If you want to make a bit more money while strength training, then perhaps try slayer with a ROW? ~ W ~
