Gravestones...

Featured Replies

It is the most annoying thing to lose connection and not be able to regain your items since your gravestone demonlishes once you log out. What is the purpose of it? No one can touch our items, but what if we can't return in time?

I think we should get a 1 minute time pentaly if our account is logged out, then the gravestone resumes counting.

A small change, with a big impact.

I think it should simply stay there. And crumble when your time is done. Then again I'm not sure whether that's going to go with the flow of the updates against RWT, but that sounds more fair to me.

O-T: I just realised whether is written with an h after the w. Wether, as I've written it for a while now, means castrated sheep.

Matt: You want the funny shit that happens here and there, you think it comes out of your [bleep]ing [wagon] pushes garbage can down, don't you? You think it's funny? It comes out of here! running towards Camera guy

Camera guy: runs away still laughing

Matt: You think the funny comes out of your mother[bleep]ing creativity? Comes out of Satan, mother[bleep]er! nn--ngh! pushes Camera guy down

My thoughts exactly. I do not know why Jagex cumbles your grave when you log out, so I put in the time penalty so it can combat most of my thinkable reasons to allow graves to cumble when the owener logs out.

Poor sheep.

what on earth is a grave stone

dooodlydoo

GOOD IDEA!

its indeed verry anoying that, if you logg out by connection porblems, you lose all youre items, and it will be gone forever!

the 1 minute penalty is a perfect idea to solve this problem.

onley one question: does the time keep running when you're logged out?

My guess is yes. I think part of Jagex's reasoning is this:

Player 1 dies.

Player 1 goes to side acc and contacts Player 2

Player 1 tells Player 2 to bless/repair his gravestone since he can't get there in 5 minutes

Player 2 blesses gravestone and player 1 easily regains his items.

GOOD IDEA!

I wonder how it tastes o.o

I think this is definitely something that needs to be fixed, given that the most common causes of death is, lack of knowledge of the game (area, monster, or items), or lag, commonly leading to a logout.

I'm gonna support this. ::' ... With how things have changed, there is no reason to crumble the grave on logout, especially if it was caused by lack of knowledge or lag out. Further, those that lose connection (lag out) SHOULD be allowed to retrieve their stuff!

i agree. some people have bad connection

enex2sigjpegkm3.jpg an awsome looking game check it out

I agree.

They should pause it when you log out.

They should also maybe create a timer or a countdown, to show how much time you have left to get to your gravestone.

kai1115.png

They should give you 5 minutes when you die and log out, What if you need to go to the bathroom? I think they should keep gravestones there 5 minutes after you log out.

Thanks for the replies.

The reason I did not say to pause time would be since the dead player coud go on a secondary account to ask a friend to bless a gravestone. This way they would not have to worry about not getting there in time. Although no one has anything to gain by not pausing the time, but it is a bit unfair to those who don't have such friends.

Life is not lived best alone. :shame:

And in RuneScape, if you want the [bleep]ing quest cape, from what I understand, you have to have good & trustable friends. :!: ... Why? The whole "Shield of Arrav"/'Gang Wars' thing and all the related messes to it. If you don't already have such friends from that, such that your grave could be maintained, maybe you're with the wrong crowd, and may need the time pause? :-s

This is going to get a little off-topic, but oh well..............

Gravestones are stupid. End of story.

Since Jagex is trying to defeat RWT'ers, what would you propose then? :-s

Personally, I bought my shield half and had a RL friend help for heros. Never needed a friend for anything else, but I am a bit of a loner.

I do have to agree with what you say. If someone does not have good friends, they should have been more careful.

However, I can't think of any other reason why this is not already in the game. So I'm keeping it there in case that is the reason.

I wonder, why should there be a penalty at all? Is logging out such a bad thing when you die? Infact, what is wrong with that? Surely jagex knows that players occasionally recieve the deadly connection loss.

Just my ramblings; I may be missing something, but the whole thing seems unfair in the first place.

Either way, I agree with you. A one-minute penalty, or perhaps none at all would be great. :)

Gravestones are stupid. End of story.

Tell that to me when you die with armor and weapons worth millions and your friend blesses your gravestone enough for you to come back and retrieve your stuff. :)

Yes, I know there are some bad sides to the gravestones; but I think gravestones are a good thing in the longrun
