gold w/ gauntlets is best way. Then sell the bars or make bowls from them

use coal or powermine iron for mining.

for smithing you could try cannonballs but if your f2p then make steel bars.

Define best, it's great if you're very rich, not so great if you're not.

You won't get to lvl 70 fast if you are non-member, if you have lots of money to spend buy iron bars and make iron plates, its better than steel, or you could try to buy iron and coal, make bars and sell them.

~As a nonmember, there really is no cheap and easy way to train either. Powermining Iron is your best bet for Mining, but as for Smithing, i'd say wait till you become a member before doing Gold/Iron/Steel.~

you could paybycash not that i would suggest disobeying your parents

powermine iron

and join a smithing company and smith steel bars for materials plus 120 gp, or whatever the going rate is now

For mining, powermining in Al Kharid mines is probably your best place for experience as there are 3 rocks and with a rune pickaxe, they come rather quick. As for smithing, I am afraid the quickest exp would be smelting steel bars. There are also steel bar companies that will offer you coal and iron for the equivalent amount of steel bars, thus, giving you free experience. Either way, mining and smithing will not be fast in f2p.

Good-luck. :D

for mining, power mine granite, or get some coal

for smithing, do gold bars with gold gauntlets
