My topic is about rares in the coming future and how the deflating econemy for rares will create low low prices for rares, but then will people sell the rares they have?no, probaly not because of fear of losing to much cash and then rares will truly become rare because no1 will sell . i.e.Lets just say 3k update lowers santas in months time down to 5-10milish. Do you think there gona be alot of sellers?, or will selling cease and rares will become truly rare, take to mind this is just a theory post your comments and thoughts.

 

 

 

oh and also i would like to add how there are much less rares in the game because of the pking and staking update many of my pking and staking friends alched theyre rares and left. Idk if alot of people did this but when you think about the rares lowering in price as there is a low stock of rares.Again this is just a theory and from the things ive heard or seen. and comments, suggestions, and things to add are greatly appreciated.

 

 

 

i also think that the 3k price should not work on rares because rares always move up and down, mostly up higher and i dont think jaGex should not control this key part of the econemy. I feel like we are the mindless puppets having fun and above us are the puppeteers which are JaGex. :shock:

Im certain that rares will go back up, the current decrease is due to the update coming up and people getting into a panic, as well as a rumor going around that rares will become untradable (which is totally not correct). They won't raise at an incredibly fast rate but they will go up from where they are now I'm sure.

thansk wakka for your response rares will not become untradeable im trying to state how fewer rares and jagex pupettering us will make prices deflate a tiny bit and people will start not to sell anymore. although this is my theory i do not own a rare and im not trying to effect the econemy with this post dont worry :D

If the price of santas went down to 5-10m and then no one sold them, the rares wouldn't be rare and unbuyable, they would rise back up.

rares have no where to go BUT up. there are no new rares being produced like potions or runes.

the GE prices on rares can flucuate quite alot, GE prices are changed daily due to the supply and demand and prices that they went for for that day. I've seen santas change as much as 500k in a day (once they updated the price). I think they do the update sometime between 1:00 and 4:00 EST because thats the times I usually see it take place.

This will change, and prices will begin to slowly rise, everyone is just in a frenzy lol, buy rares and wait for it to pass if you got some spare change.

The prices dont change based on player to player trading, they rise or fall based on sales at the grand exchange and 5% of the price of a partyhat is large.

I need some professional advice. I got a red mask from my friend fwhen he quit because of 10/12/07 (he said i can sell it so don't mock me) i'm wondering should I keep the mask or sell it now? the g.e prices are 29.5-33 but players sell/buy for 27-28m. once there's a 3k limit will the prices of my mask go up or down? I really need a good answer for this means i can get or loose alot of cash. thanks for the replys

The problem with that is that people would then use it to trade gold in wildly unbalanced amounts, such as selling a partyhat for one GP and then transferring real-world money. Basically, any relaxation of the economy control by Jagex will allow RWT'ing to [bleep]e again, in which case they will be forced to drop it again. Therefore, Jagex will never open up any part of the economy like this.

Rares always crash after Halloween, its just being made worse by the GE+Trade changes, which really eliminates manipulation.

 

 

 

Summoning will come out, and just compound the problem even worse.

To figure out the effect on rares of a new skill, figure out if it is a skill that costs money, or a skill that consolidates money. Slayer consolidated cash to no lifers who raced to 85. Construction is a pure money drain.

 

 

 

Money consolidation = increase rares price

 

 

 

Money drains/sinks = decrease rares price

 

 

 

Right now two ways to consolidate money were removed - duel arena and merchanting. Both will have a negative impact.

monster hunters? after 3k differential limit, people wouldn't want to go in teams which kinda makes most of the big profit monster hunting dwindle

 

jagex did say they were looking at a way to sell on ge and split

 

then again, they said they were already in the process of making clan chat to calm down the SS protest but took quite a few months so who knows how long it would be til they get a split loot feature

 

91+ runecrafters? their profit has been slashed down to about 2/3's of what it was due to ess and nat prices

 

 

 

if you lose most the good money makers, prices of rares are due to fall.
