To burthorpe or not to burthorpe?

I believe there is a place with a safe spot and you can range them. Also you may want to set up a cannon to be quicker. If you do decide to do them which I am sure you will, they are pretty good exp :)

Read Axe man Jack's slayer guide in AoW, it shows you all the best places and methods to kill all monsters given as slayer tasks..that has always been a help to me <3:

Returned to Runescape June 2011 after a 3 year break :)

As said, there are good places to Range them, but I personally consider Black Demons a worse task than... chickens - at least chickens drop Feathers! - and I never hesitate in Burthorping them.

~Buy the cannon my any means possible. Otherwise, it's extremely slow, and probably worth skipping, unless you want to Dharok them.~

i've been given 160 trolls, which dont hit very often but when they do they hit me quite hard... i'm not very strong i think...

i'm planning on sticking with it though...

What about 31 terror dogs ? No drops and a long walk ? I thought that sticking with the same master for a long time resulted in longer and better tasks ?

The length at which you use a slay master doesn't gain or lose you anything. Anything like that is in-fact just a rumor. Such as camping somewhere will give you a better chance at getting a better drop than going by from time to time. For example, my friend got a vissage after a bunch (about 4 or 5) Iron dragon tasks. Thats at least 100 drags, however people camp there for days, weeks maybe even months on end, without a single vissage drop.

On Topic:

I usually do black demon tasks the exp gained there, is very good and the only drops that are really worth anything is rune chains (and other alchables that slip my mind, if any)

You don't need a cannon, just use your p pots, get the exp and re-buy them. They are pretty cheap now so it's not that big of a loss for the exp you will get in return.

Apparently, my signature was to big.

There better ways to use prayer pots, like barrows, decent exp and pretty good money. Depends, would using the pots really affect you, money/time wise? If not then just kill 'em, if so then burthorpe it. A few slayer exp isn't worth having to give up somthing you can't.

You could try using full guthans or other barrows armor and food instead of prayer. It may take a few trips to complete the task, but it's cheaper and they don't hit as often as you expect. Full guthans usually works without food if you have 80+ def.

Proud owner of a Quest cape!

There's a perfect safespot (at the total west)

If you got runes to burn, mage them: there mage def is bad.

Range also works fine. (but all depends on your levels off course)

Just got a task of 118 black demons. If I was to do the task I would melee pray. However, would it be a waste of prayer potions?

Don't melee them it takes too long and it's too expensive. Range them if you have over 80 Range and use a cannon. 3rd Best slayer EXP in the game.
