99 Range - Need help!

Yes, I want 99 range. For this goal I will have 25M to use, I want to know how many Red Chins that will get me and to what level those will get me. If that is not enough, also tell other methods.

 

 

 

Like 20M on chins to 95 range and the rest ranging blue dragons costing 5M for example.

Lots of people use iron knifes at Kings training ground. I think they are hill giants in a enclosed area that can only be used for rage. Everyone says its a good way.

Wtih 25M you will have to range to about 92-93 range before you can switch to chinchompas for 99 range, for the levels until 92/93 you can do:

 

Caged Ogres - Fast exp, cheap and usually isnt THAT full.

 

Fire Giants - Fast exp, you make money off drops, can get packed at peak times of the day.

 

Hellhounds - Fast exp, you will probably make money off the clues.

Use iron knives on hellhounds if you want clue scrolls ( mabe you get a nice reward)

 

Use iron knives on firegiants ( old method ... )

Using 25M worth of chins you should be able to get 99 from around 87 or 88 I think.

 

 

 

Until then, I personally like ranging greaters in the Watchtower dungeon.. good experience, they're in a cage, and they drop lots of clues/rune full helms. Also there is almost never more then 1 person there and with one other person there you will be fine on the spawns.

Using chins at level 78 is not really economical. It will be faster than regular training but you will not get anywhere near the xp you hear of others getting (200k+ per hr).

 

 

 

I would suggest you buy grey chins, and train with those until 85 range, then use reds. Getting to 85 using greys will cost you around the 5M mark, and the remaining 15M will get you from 85 to 92 using reds, or 95 using greys.

 

 

 

Remember that you use around 1.5k chins per hour, and 24 4 dose prayer pots will last around 1.75hrs (at 52 prayer).

 

 

 

Chins are THE most expensive way to train range, BUT it is by far the quickest. Once summoning is out, along with the new hunter critters, I would expect a lot more chins to be on the market (hence lower prices), so make the most of the opportunity to buy up chins at low prices. Greys are up around 100gp since Xmas, but reds are stable. Expect reds to drop in the coming weeks.

Start using red chins at 85. Even if you start at 85 the cost to get 99 is about 50m.

 

 

 

So I would say getting 92+ range with iron knives at fire giants (my personal favorite place) then using chins (as suggested) would be your best option.

I went from 70-91 at the caged Greaters in the Ogre Enclave (from Watchtower quest), and did every clue drop.. That got me at least 10-12m. It cost me 23M from 91-99, but I'm sure the prices have dropped further now..

Thats half of the XP for 99 though. The last 7 levels = The 92 levels before it.
