save the charms or use em?

I just started summoning yesterday and found that alot of the prices for the supplys for training/using the skill are changing very fast and have decided to just collect all the charms I can by slaying for a while and wait for the rush of summoning to die down...like loads of people are killing white wolfs in the mountains now and you can't hardly get a single bone collected... or is it just better to just grim and bare the rush?

I'm doing the same as you ...after competing with a few others yesterday just for 3 pack loads of chickens I decided to wait for the rush to die down....If I continue making pouches and not slaying I will run out of charms anyway, so may as well collect the charms, and when demand for low level seconds has died down a little I will use all the charms I have collected.

You can buy raw chicken en masse from the canifis meat store without any competition :-$
Yeah, I know...but I'm one of those fools who like to gather what I can without paying for it (well except in time invested) ...If I could make shards and charms I would ...much slower, but just how I like to play.

Well I was already full on training slayer before summoning for 1 and a half months, so really I will have no problems getting a lot of charms, barring the huge am ount of people crowding the best locations for training slayer *sigh* I never had any intention to raise summoning either, so whatever amount of charms I get after 99 slayer will probably just lie in my bank for awhile...

Wolf bones are easy to get it you're a high level - the werewolves drop them! And there's nobody fighting them either.

That said, most of those who want wolf bones are low levels who couldn't defeat a werewolf anyway.

Edit, I would also save your charms unless you have a specific use for the monster you'll be infusing/summoning. You never know what February will bring!

Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores:

Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! Stupid MTA

You may as well train it now. Unless of course you are at a disadvantage with your stats. I myself am slightly annoyed that fire giants drop charms. I've been training there from 78-98 range, and I am almost 99.. then we get this. :o They're often full now, and people tend to get angry when I kill 2 before they kill one. There also seems to be some people who half-kill the giants, then leave them so they get the charm drop when another person kills. It's enough to make a person think about killing 2 giants at a time to scare everyone away.

Anyways, now that I harped my story, I would suggest training now. Kill a monster that you can kill effectively and quickly. That is how you'll gain the most advantage from charm drops. Have fun.
