Try doing some minds games, one of the basics which works on alot of characters is to dash, jump toward the enemy, then just simple do an attack that will send you back or double jump back.

 

 

 

What I like to do is charge up an Aura Sphere, dash foward, jump and shoot the Sphere. Sends me back a bit and puts a lili bit of fear into the other player. The only good thing about me is that mind games hardly trick me seeing as how I'm not afraid to get damage because damage to me means more power. :twisted:

Mindgames are different for each character. And you don't really 'teach' mindgames, as there is literally an infinite amount of them. There are some commonly used ones, sure, but ones that MK uses (mostly baiting through airdodges and the like) doesn't working nearly as well as with Snake. And mindgames should be done through instincts, IMO. That's what you rely on in a tight spot.

Even though I lost to your Yoshi (no bad, by the way) I do have something I HAVE to tell you. Stop rolling. Stop shielding. You're yoshi. You have no OOS options. (out of shield)

 

 

 

Basically, his shield sucks.

 

 

 

Actually, Yoshi has a leet shield. Some dynamics it has that normal shields dont make it better at certain things, yet worse at others. Yoshi sucks at getting out of shield though. So OOS is out of his game.

 

Furthermore, Yoshi needs to defend himself a bit. You still have to shield, but it's not too reliable. It takes ALOT of hits, but takes ALOT of time to get out of it

 

 

 

As for mindgames, Yoshi doesnt have many, but cancelling the second jump can do a bit, and side-b might be decent for mindgames. I dont use yoshi and never plan to, so :|

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. No. The good part about a shield in Brawl is because it can be dropped in a few frames which means counter attacks. Yoshi can't do ANYTHING out of a shield. It can't take many hits at all. He can't be poked, sure, but if he can't do anything what's the point? Yoshi can defend himself without the shield.

Who saves Wifi matches? And why not make all matches sudden death with 1 stock? Then we can make games super quick!

 

More time = more precise. The more stocks, the less luck is factored. 3 stock isn't too short that it has much luck involved, but it isn't too long, either.

Which is why I use the "Infinite Replays" cheat code so I can save replays OVER 3 minutes long.
