i've been busy with my virtual console so i haven't been on mario kart for awhile. this topic too inactive, and the chance we can even attempt to host a tornament is slim to nothing.

Yeah I know. I hate having my computer 2 floors above my wii. I have to type on it constantly if I'm trying to set up a smash bros. game on the brawl club or something.

 

 

 

I think we should try out the Time trial competition. Like I said before the rollback, we could set a course for a week to 2 weeks and see who gets the best time. As long as people have wifi it automatically ranks your time.

Id be for a TT type contest, but can we really draw interest? This hasn't been the most active thread as of late.

Last night I tried to go for a 7000 BR rank. working my way from my 6000 I had obtained 6800 within a little less than a half hour. I was getting closer and closer... but then this morning I tried to complete my 7000 goal. Starting at 6800 I won a small game getting me 20 something points. but then the game started faultering. I lost a lot of BR because I lost connection in the game. I tried returning to wifi but again halfway through the game I was disconnected and came to 6500 BR. getting really ticked off, I tried one more time, this time on worldwide rather than regional. guess what? Lost connection again. now I'm 6400 BR and really ticked off. I don't dare play again in fear of losing more.

 

 

 

I hate the fact that when you get disconnected, you lose the maximum amount of points you could lose in the game :evil:

EDIT: I finally did it, got 1 star with 100% Wii Wheel usage =D

only had MKwii for 4 days now, already have just under 6000 rating in races, gold cups in 50cc and 100cc.

OK, if you can get enough people to have this tournament... :?

I was playing wifi battles (7200 BR :thumbsup: ) and I repeatedly notice a few players with a tag that says 3 letters next to their name . I think it was [Lnr] or something like that, so the player's name would be [Lnr]Matt. I just notice these players and they all have 8000+ BR (which is pretty hard to get, it took me ages to gewt to 7000). Is this some kind of clan of elite players?

yes. in some cases, players would usually have their clan tags with brackets or parentheses. mario kart clans even have their own official sites for discussing tournaments and events.
