Bump. Wifi is annoying the hell out of me now. I just got 7800 BR (which, believe me, is very hard to get unless you know the game inside and out) and lost connection the next game, losing 279 BR. This is the 3rd time I lost connection when I was so close to the godly 8000 BR and I'm really getting ticked now.

 

 

 

Anyway, a couple things I've noticed and I need answers to them.

 

 

 

1) I was in a 2 on 2 balloon battle, and one of the guys on the other team was either a hacker or ahd really good item tapping, or has insane luck. He had giant mushrooms nonstop. Literally, he was constantly giant. Every time he shrunk down to normal size he'd go giant instantly again. He was incredibly hard to kill because I only had star power once in the game (star>giant). How does the guy do this? Did he find a glitch somehow, or was he really good at tapping the item button precisely to get the giant every time, or was he insanely lucky?

 

 

 

2) Another thing, I noticed that frequently when I hit someone with a bomb, or run them over with a giant mushroom, or blast through them with star power, they get hit but don't lose a balloon or their coins, depending on the game. Why is that? So many times I needed a crucial extra balloon hit, or a few extra coins to win the game, and I don't get them after I destroy someone with an item. Why is that?

no offense but if you're whining about BR\VR or whatever, then don't play online. i see people complain about d\c's all the time and it's been a flaw with nintendo online games since the dawn of WFC. i personally have 9000+ BR and around 9200+ VR and i've been through a lot of d\c's, mainly because the server dodges my connection and it happens. it also serves a good explanation of why it's only limited to 9999. BR points don't carry any more pride other then how long you play. because you'll eventually run into a group of nooby allies that stands no chance of winning whatsoever and no matter how well you do, you'll mostly lose points.

 

 

 

@ 1st question: hackers are the real punk online. if you see them, immediately reset your wii and try connecting to a room with no hackers. you should keep track of hackers name so you can't meet them again when you search for players. i know hacking can sound dismaying online but their numbers won't be noticeable enough to bother you. :)

 

 

 

@ 2nd question: it's lag. happens a lot more when you play WW. just don't abuse mega mushrooms a lot. i use it mainly to defend against blue shells other then mushrooms.

Lol sorry everyone I kinda forgot about this thread. I haven't played MKwii or any other video game in a while now since i've gotten back into RS and stuff, so I guess a tourney isn't gonna be happening.

 

 

 

I too could care less about rankings and such. Whenever I go into a room I hope to meet some competition (sometimes I do, but there was some cases when I pretty much dominated).

btw i'm 3 starred, and 9000+ VR :P i've been only playing mario kart with computers so i don't have a lot of experience as i did before.

Does anyone play the tournaments that they send out twice a month? I didn't actually start playing them until this month, and now they are an exciting challenge. It gives you something new to play for a week before they take it down and get ready for the next tournament. It is basically the mission mode, but strung out to two missions a month, with online ranking.
