MonkeyChee
Many games have completion percentages (gta games etc.), with players trying to get 100% so they can say they have completed the game. I was wondering, if runescape had a similar percentage system, how much do you think you would have completed? Also what sort of things do you think need to be done to get 100%? For instance, getting 99 in every skill is a must, but would 200m xp in every skill be required for 100%? Please post your thoughts and ideas :D
Star_Fox
not having the urge to play anymore is more then 100% to me. :?
Punc
It's like GTA, you can finish the game (99 skills, minigames, quests). And then comes collecting all those hidden things, getting 200M xp, getting various rares/weapons, killing bosses, ect.
SwreeTak
Yes, I think you can say that you have completed RuneScape. To complete it in my meaning you should have done all quest, mini-games, achievement diares and have 99 in every skill. But to complete the game 100% is much harder. Then you must have 200M xp in every skill and have done exactly everything in the game. That's very much harder than just completing the game. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
Julius Casar
Id say that probably getting all 99s/completing all quests/completing all achievement diary would get you 100%. Then going past that would just get you a higher rank on the "completion board" or whatever lol. Please take a look at my blog here. Those who can not accept change condemn themselves to living in the past.99 Range - 99 Mage - 99 Defence - 99 Hitpoints
MonkeyChee
Then going past that would just get you a higher rank on the "completion board" or whatever lol. Hmm...thats an idea. A 'Completion Highscores' or something might work aswell. Thanks for the ideas everybody :)

Triquos
Yeah I think all 99s would be 100% :P
tebuchwald
to have total completion i agree that u would need have acquired every skill cape, especially the quest cape(which i own and maintain), the lava cape, have defeated every creature possible and have defaeted every boss possible(either solo or team) and have done all the achievement diaries. sure it would be nice to have the 200m for high scores status
tomarothar
A completion highscores would be just like the game is now :P You can never complete the game as long as you have those highscores. You can always get a better rank/get passed by another player. In my opinion a 100% game would be 99 in all skills. All minigames played and won (Gotten to the chest at barrows, Won a castlewars game ect.) All music tracks found. All achievment diarys done. All quests done. That's pretty much a 100% game for me :P ©Tom® ~~~~~~~~~~~~Goals keep you going~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Current goal : All skills 80+. Skills left: 69/80 Summoning.Next goal : 99 Magic. Skills left: 96/99 Magic.
Hiimcharlie
I think 99 in all skills should be 50%, the other 50% coming from 200mil in every skill O_o
Ezz
Yeah I think it would be based on 99's or the total exp of 99 in all. Since 99 in all is about 312M exp, 312M exp would be 100%, I'd have about 19% since I have 58M total exp. Although this would mean that if you got only two 99's, with 200M exp in one, and 112M exp in the other, you'd get 100% :| I guess the extra exp after a 99 skill shouldn't count then. I don't think that having over 13M exp in a skill should count toward the % because you don't gain any more advantages and such, only ranks on the high scores. [insert birds flying in a circle here]Yes, that sig was annoying.
harbringerjm
I think 99 in all skills should be 50%, the other 50% coming from 200mil in every skill O_o That would be insane. Seriously. Even if you got the whole lot at 200000 exp per hour, which is far too much, that would still take 2400 hours to achieve. Just ridiculous. Besides, what about quests, minigames (Chompy hats, anyone?), miniquests, etc? Hail to The Great Big Penguin in the sky. And Guthix, of course. MonkeyChee
Besides, what about quests, minigames (Chompy hats, anyone?), miniquests, etc? Yes, we have to remember that runescape is not just about skills and xp, so 100% would require achievments from other aspects of the game.
Evil Pig20
For 100% you would need: 200m in all skills All quests done All music found All diaries done Completed all mini-quests And had all the best rewrds from minigames. So for me, I would have to say I have done 0.5%

Infernosage4
200M in every skill is a bit extreme. I think 99 in everything would suffice. 269 QP | All Stats 60+ (except Summoning) | Barrows Drops: 8 | Dragon Drops:
Kiefer
200M in every skill is a bit extreme. I think 99 in everything would suffice. Extreme, yup. But to FULLY complete the game, that would be one of the many things required :wall:

Seraphi
you cannot complete it as it is constrantly updated... aside from that, 200 mil xp in every skill is impossible in one lifetime i suppose you could always give the account through generations, but then your great great grandchild would still only be like 1/4 of the way there :P

why2060
To complete RuneScape I think you'd have to get 200M in every skill, Complete all Quests / Mini - Games etc as then there is literally nothing else to do that would benefit your character. I have completed 0.0000001% of RuneScape :P My RuneScape Blog. Click here!
Pat_61
I say you can't bc i think it would be max exp, money. Having all mini game items, quests , all rares, full of each armor set and so on. And bc new quests are always introduced you can't have 100% forever. Madmanpur3
In my opinion, completing the game 100% would just be doing everything possible in it - meaning getting each skill to the required level to do the highest thing in that skill (75 wc, 85 mining, 83 hunter, etc). On top of getting all the skills to a point where you can do everything skill-wise, completing all minigames (including champs challenge ;)), killing every boss, getting every major drop, exploring the entire map, getting a complete music list, finish every quest/mini quest. Personally I think that whole 200m xp in every skill is required to complete the game 100% is plain stupid...just because you can do something doesn't mean you have to in order to complete the game, otherwise let's throw in that you have to get every single drop in the game and every single treasure trail reward and stand on every single tile possible in the game and talk to every single npc there is to talk to...Getting 95 fletching (9m xp?) is literally no different than 200m xp. Ultimakomoto
In my mind, 100% is truely for the perfectionists... However, if you want my view on 100% then here: All skill levels to 99 (allskills-cape achieved) Every quest complete (Quest cape achieved and mantained.) Complete ever mini-game and get every mini-game item. Get every normal item in the whole game (not enough bank space, help!(Quest weapons/items exculded)) All songs unlocked All emotes unlocked Every mini-quest completed (repeatable ones only count for first completion) Defeat every "boss" monster. Having "good knowledge" on all aspects of the game. COMPLETE House (every room, maxed item in each space, etc.) ----- Such is my view on the perfection of 100%...which is not very long standing due to the fact that new things are always introduced. So, to have 100% in everything, you must always be playing. Need a new signature....perhaps...
