Completing Runescape

It's possible to complete Runescape, just not probable. Due to the weekly updates and the huge amount of things to do, it is highly unlikely that someone can complete Runescape 100%

I agree with Ultimakomoto, but with all skills' xp maxed out, not just 99.

Reason I didn't say maxed EXP is because getting 200M EXP in every skill would take an eternity.

Nice to see someone agreed with me though, even though I do ramble :-k

Need a new signature....perhaps...

Hmm i think they should show how much % of quests you have done but there is alot to take into account when asing how much of RuneScape have you complete. For example, achievement diaries? Miniquests? Minigame items? Items in general? :o

I would like to see some sort of gauge of certain things in the game :)

Um, hello? Quest cape? And it's not too hard to count how many red names in that quest tab (now music tab, that's another story.).

Edit: Dang, I completely forgot about Achievement diaries being part of it. Of course, there's so few of them that it's quite easy to forget they're there.

I think everyone forgot 1 thing for the 100%. ALL challenge scrolls. Thats just an insane amount of kills and/or luck.

Wow, went to create an account and found out i already had one from 2004 lol, anyways...

I don't feel that I've completed a lot in RS even though it feels like I've been playing forever... quite a shame.

I'd say I've completed around 30% of it, only 1 99 stat, 80 somethin mil total exp, but I've been almost everywhere and know almost everything

Don't think it was forgotten, just auto-grouped under "Mini-quests"...

Still, very difficult, I've only done one challenge. Of course, I've never tried...

For those who think that they should put in some sort of gauge to show how far you are in the game...that would completely go against their intentions and purpose of the game. RuneScape is suppose to be a game that has no definite ending or can be completed or beaten.

May the presents of our lord and savior, Santa, be with you this holiday season!

I personally think that the 200M xp in every skill should not be incorporated in a potential ranking system like you suggested. Completing something to me means that you've done something that gave you new things to do, or the ability to create new items, completing something means you opened some doors for yourself. This can either be winning a game of CW or completing a quest. Gaining a level in whatever skill to me counts as a completion, even if you can't do new things on the newly acquired level.

99 is the last level in every skill and therefore imo should be the last part of completing a certain skill. Gaining more exp after 99 might get you up in the highscores but doesn't allow you to do new things in the game (prolly showing off but that's about it right?), therefore it should not be part of a potential 'completion-system'.

That however is just my approach to identify the meaning of completing something in a game, different approaches however can cause different outcomes.

I would say i'm around 2% completed on my main. On my semi retired around....15%???

I don't know. I reckon 99 in all skills, all quests done and all mini game type clothing would = 100%

This could be controversial though....

200m xp, Best rewards from all mini-games, All quests done, owning every item and piece of clothing at one time or another, ect...... That would be some kind of crazy achievement cape  .

I can see it now.

"Shows that I am the true master of the game."

+75 all defenses, +40 all attack, +30 strength, +10 prayer  :shame:

But again, NOT 200M exp in all skills. Just a HUGE waste of time.

I'll say all 99s and in top ~1000 of that skill.

Not to mention mini-games, quests, mini-quests, music, net-worth, achievement diaries...

The 100% is diferent for every kind of person...

for someone could be all 99s...

other could be 200m xp in all...

i say the 100% is the goal you make for yourself like me 99s in all and for me is 100%.

Thats the great thing about RS, you cant really complete it.

I guess you could say 200m xp in every skills, EVERY minigame reward gotten, all quests done, all songs unlocked, all drops possible from EVERY monster gotten at least once, all miniquests done, all areas visited, every weapon possible used, all keys gotten, and all items bought/made/found at least once would be pretty dang close to completing the game, but then of course you would need to max out your items....

No one will ever do that though... :geek: :ugeek: nobody save this and post it when someone does

I feel that I've completed the game 100%. Since I don't feel the need to play it anymore, and haven't for awhile. But that's just me. I think that it's different for everyone. :)

Sounds interesting, but these days how many people really speak Pirate?

Achieving 100% in RuneScape is near to impossible. Jagex release a new quest every few weeks, so you'll have 100% for a while, and then it'll go back to 98/99. :/

And what would the emote be like?

You swing a pickaxe which changes into a axe you will chop a tree with it ,after the first swing,it changes into an fireball,Then the fireball changes into a gurat(sp?),which, you kick into the ground, then,an anvil is coming up and when you hit it,you craft an cat, when you rase the statue,a harpon comes into your hand, when you get the fish halfway out of the water,it changes into a kebbit, when you get the kebbit up,you fly a bit in the air by magic.then, you shot an arrow into the air and you will get an arrow in your chest, then you get wings to fly,the wings vanish, then, there coming sticks up,you slide halfway down, then a weight is coming almost on your head, you defence yourself and you trow it away, then the ground splits open an all kinds of runes come out,you grab one of the runes, then you make a potion out of it,you trow it in a backpack,a little stick is coming out of the ground, you cut it off and craft a bow of it,then you trow it away.Next a pie falls out of the sky you bake it and trows it away, when it comes back, you trow water on it and you get a pie-tree,after the tree is gone, you build a house halfway and then crush it with your hands!after that,a a lightning bolt comes to you and takes you 1 second in the ar,then you pull out a guitar to play![/end of emote]

I know what you mean but then it is easy to compare to other people:

person 1: I'm on 98% quests done how about you?

person 2: Oh wow i'm only of 76%

It justs sparks discussion and makes Runescape more of a competitive game if you want it to be
