This is the first siggy I'm doing from my Bazaar topic. I finished it now, and I think it looks pretty nice.. except for the text. Next up is Juli's, then Shiny's, and I'll finish off with Skull's.

I really like the concept of it, the flying pig is awesome, it could possibly use a pair of wings (White ones)? The signature is perfect overall in my opinion, Good job.

Hm, correct me if I'm wrong but if you can't see a portion of the sky beneath the clouds, that must mean it's actually smoke coming from the ground, no?

The little strip of land is actually a hill, and it cuts off the bit of the sky that separates cloud from land. I did this sorta on purpose, cause methinks it looks more majestic that way.

absolutely LOVE the clouds, oh my god! love the effect they give, and how the flow.. The pig looks great too. as for the land, love how you have done it, little detail, but you know what it is.

You have to tell us how you did the clouds Uno, they're incredible. My only crits is that the land is a bit barren compared in quality to the clouds and, *ahem*, pig.

Well, I used only the pencil tool and moved it rapidly back and forth in a feathery stroke to get it nice and fluffy.. but I also used a very wide variety of colors.. For example, instead of simply using one light gray, I used about ten grays, all only slightly variant in tone and saturation. Basically, I only did about 10 or so strokes before changing colors. You also have to avoid gigantic barren patches of color-with clouds, even the very dark areas should swirl and twist with life.

 

 

 

The pig was much simplier.. although it does still follow the same principles. I looked at the cover of Animals and drew the pig's outline, and kinda tried to take the lighting into account and stuff..

 

 

 

I didn't want to make the ground too detailed because I wanted really to have the clouds kinda stand out..
