I am content with my bgs right now, but I heard the zgs special attack is extremely accurate and would like to use it at barrows and gwd, because most of my clan has bgs so they dont need another person with a bgs that much. I just need someone that had experience with a zgs to tell me just how accurate the zgs spec is on barrows brothers or gwd monsters.

The BGS is very inaccurate but it lowers defence which is good if you get a good hit. The ZGS however almost always Freezes the oppenent and usually hits atleast more than the BGS does. It's accurate and useful for CW or Freezing a GWD Boss and Ranging and since it doesn't use all the special bar you can use it more often.

I've used and tested it extensively on GWD, Barrows, Players, and on just about every hard or training monster. The special is amazingly accurate; to give you an idea, one time I successfully speced on graador 14 times in a row. Bandos my record is 7 0 specs in a row, 3 successful specs in a row (However, I have not used it as much as ZGS).

Its also useful to be used on gradoor when tanking, if he walks towards everyone else zgs spec him and he will definitly be on the tanker.

If you hit him before he gets there, you would have him anyway. If hes already there, ZGS spec won't help, unless the person being attacked runs, in which case he would pick a random person and punch for 40-60 damage randomly, unless EVERYONE knows enough to run away EXACTLY as the ZGS spec hits, which really isn't too likely. Its only worth for extra accuracy at bandos, unless your soloing and want to step in and eat.

If your using the special, yes. If you use dd++ or whatever to deal more damage to players, it really doesn't make a difference. However, I cant really think of a situation where bandos godsword would be more useful then ZGS... It misses so much on the monsters it would actually help with that its not worth it.

I owned a bgs but was a bit disapointed with the special....reading this thread I sold it and got a zammy gs....hope it will be fine for barrows and gwd ...if someone has any good experience ? :)

Common Myth #14: ZGS is not a magic attack. I hit far more on karils then torags, even though I hit quite a lot on both. But still, I basically never miss on karils. If you hit anything but 0, you freeze. If you hit a 0, about 1/4th the time you will freeze anyway. I hear SGS has the same accuracy boost; I might buy one and try it sometime.

As much as I want to say ZGS, I'd go with a BGS. It's gross, but it is more useful for most things.

 

 

 

The BGS is useful in a lot more monster hunting. Your team will love you for taking the defense down by 30. The ZGS is only useful if you have super awesome melee stats in Sara GWD, or you like CW. I dislike CW, and I prefer to range Zilyana. So that's it's usefulness down the drain for me.

 

 

 

Plus, with that extra 10m, you could get closer to buying yourself Bandos armor to complete the superawesomemeleecombo outfit. As overused as it is, get the BGS.

No, it doesn't unless your attack is significantly higher then my 92. 4 dd++ specials will far, far outdistance a bandos godsword special, unless you get those rare lucky 50+ drains.. Then again, you can also get lucky with those 2-3 spec dd++ kos, I've killed a 125 with almost maxed defence bonus with 3 dd++ specs. It's random, but overall a lot better then bandos spec. As for monster hunting, what good is it if it hits ~1/4th the time at the most? And ranging zilyana is the best use for it... Special, step back, range? If your not going to use the spec anyway, the +10M isn't worth it, but the same argument could be made for AGS.

guys I am re-thinking of selling back again the zammy gs and buying the bandos...will I do the right one ? I intend to go gwd one day with maybe a group of friends.....

Or spec 'n' range? He doesn't use his range attack if you are far enough away from him when soloing.. I solo him like I solo zil
