6 is the number after 5...

so yes... because its 0.1 bigger

or going back to simple maths again 6 is 1 bigger than 5...

Wait, wait, hold up. 6 is 1 bigger than 5? Why was I not informed of this

Lol, I wonder where you got your brains. You should go back there and ask for a replacement, the ones you currently have aren't fuctioning 100% okay.

To answer your question: Yes, it's better.

5 indeed comes before 6, that means it's lower.

If you werent able to figure that out, you always could have used a calculator, when you type 1.60 - 1.5 in there it should say 0.1, which means 1.60 is 0.1 GHz more than 1.5.

Unless you OWE 6 dollars, in which case is worse than oweing (how do you spell that word?) 5 dollars :D.

But yes, 1.60 is bigger than 1.5.

Maybe you should stop eating windex.

Ive tried a new kind of windex lately, Im going back to my original brand.

And D Jay99, maybe that was it. Atleast I can use the new graphic update

How many brands of Windex are there? Its like saying your switching to a different brand of kleenex ::'

Anyway, 1.5 or 1.6 you should still be able to run it. A helpful hint for your next question of this kind is to press start -> run -> calc -> type 1.6, hit the minus key, type 1.5, and hit enter. If the result is positive, the first number is bigger then the second. If it is negative, the first number is smaller then the second. Hope this helps reduce future posts. :)

Drops: 1x Draconic Visage, 56x Abyssal Whip, 5x Demon Head, D Drops: 37, Barrows Drops: 43, DK Drops: 29

GWD drops: 14,000x Bars, 1x Armadyl Hilt, 2x Armadyl Skirt, 4x Sara Sword, 1x Saradomin Hilt, 8x Bandos Hilt, 8x Bandos Platebody, 9x Bandos Tassets, 4x Bandos Boots, 43x Godsword Shard, 82x Dragon Boots

Dry streak records: Saradomin 412 kills Bandos 988 kills Spirit Mages 633 kills - Slayer Sucks

two things:

1. i dont know if he knows negative and positive.

2.And there is puffs and kleenex probably some other brands that are like target and dominicks and stuff.

It'll still handle negative numbers. Sadly, you totally missed the point on the Kleenex joke... Kleenex is the brand name of a tissue paper, just as Windex is the brand name of a window cleaner. You can't switch brands of Windex, you can only switch brands of window cleaner. :wall:

Bigger is not always better. Let's compare my 3.5 ghz Celeron with any dual core processor with two times lower frequency and see which wins, or with a 3.2 ghz full Pentium 4.

this.

My 2.7ghz core2duo would destroy a 4ghz Pentium 4 (single core).

Does -2.8Ghz mean the PC is going back in time or un-processing?

lol. [cabbage]! My PC is slowly undoing everything I have done in the past 2 years, help!

I could only imagine a CPU "un-processing" as it just going backwards through everything that happened. Hehe.

I wonder if the processor would be called "The Intel Paradox Induction Threading -2.8GHz"? Or TIPIT -2.8GHz for short

Just a note - having more GHz does not imply that the performance is greater. Nowadays, the clock speed does not always imply a greater performance. That is, a premium 4 generation CPU rated with 3.8GHz may work slower when compared to a latest generation Core 2 Duo CPU, which has only got clock speed between 2GHz to 3 GHz

See

There are many other factors affecting the performance, like the number of cores

Currently taking a break from Runescape

Also the architecture of the machine has a lot to do with the speed of your PC. i.e. is the Ram dual channel, is the Video PCIE, is it a SATA system, what's the clock speed of the FSD & RSB, etc etc etc. I bet an new system running at half the CPU clock speed will out do an old system running at twice the clock speed.

Unless you're using the CPU for computational purposes such as ray tracing the newer architecture will always win.

I really don't think people will look at anything more than Cores and how many herts it has.

Most people would..

Like blosssom2581 said, the NetBurst architecture is a lot slower than the Core architecture at the same (and even lower) clockspeed - partly due to the NetBurst's extremely long pipeline which makes the cost of mispredicted branches very high

But I think JaGex chose to be "better safe than sorry" and the minimum requirement might actually be as low as 1GHz even for NetBurst cpu's (to make sure no one will complain that they meet the specs but the game runs slow)

In short: just try. It's the only way to be absolutely* sure.

*: other ways exist but are less reliable

That doesn't mean that it won't be slow if your cpu is that fast though, it is after all the entire computer that determines the actual performance - a 3DMark score would be more reliable

Playing RS since Nov. 2002 (but with various breaks)
