henkiex
i have 5 mil at the moment i need to know what is faster: 99 fm or cooking. Im using all my money on it.
gypsyeater
Well fm takes longer and is harder, but its generally more respected than cooking. Its entierly up to you.
D Jay99
Don't use all your money to get a 99. Making some money with the 5m you have already and then getting a 99 is much better. Cooking is a bit faster than firemaking, firemaking is about 135k xp/hour doing maples all the way, cooking is ~160k xp/hour doing lobsters to 81, swordies 81-94 with gauntlets and sharks 94-99 with gauntlets. Cooking, however, loses you a bit more. I estimate cooking being 5-6m for 99, firemaking 3-4m. If I may ask, why do you want to spend all your money on a not-so-helpful 99? Shivneil29
Yeah, either way, you won't be respected for having either cape :P. 99 Woodcutting Achieved on 17th December 2007Barrows Drops: 1 x Great Axe; 3 x Brassard; 1 x K Coif; 1x Dh Helm; 2 x Guthans Plate; 1 x Ahrim Hood; 1 x Ahrim Skirt; 2 x Flail; 1 x X-bow; 2 x Dharok Legs. cat666
Forget the XP for cooking but firemaking is 150k XP per hour. Cooking is faster though and less boring due to cook x. Trust the Gene Genie!

blacksurge
Do fletching. Idk about with the prices now, but when yews were around 360 each I made 5m getting 99. And it's around 100-120k xp/hr fletching yews. Anyways, BBL OFF TO SLEEP WITH A RACCOON
davidium
i've calculated it and 5m is more than enough for 99 cooking...provided you sell back your cooked fish to other people...when i calculated using tunas you will get 100exp per tuna and the cost difference between cooked and raw is 40gp so that is 0.4gp per exp...assuming you have around 1M cooking exp already which is around lvl 70 i think you will only require 0.4 X 12100000 = 4.84M...that is using tunas though... maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it

RyderJ
That's rather shortsighted. A 99 is a 99. Maybe not respected, but there's still a lot good about it. When I go for 2,000 total I'm planning on getting a few nooby stats up that I dislike training. I'll get firemaking to 99, fishing to 90, 95 or so feltching... all stats that most people have, but they're still stats. edit: oh god feltching. best typo evar. cnut21
Yes, train your fletching. But, if I were you I would go for 99 thieving, plundering would make it go by very fast, and you wouldnt lose money.
