Range training advise

Hi im curently 50 ranged and im goin for 61 for rune c'bow :thumbsup: just wondering where i should train and how long would it take. Thanx ;)

bronze knives are very fast, so you get more exp quickly....and it's very cheap...

you can also make your own iron knives (make sure you use rings of forging!) and then just range caged ogres i guess... once you get higher you can try fire giants

if your buying, get black knives. cheaper than irons and do more damage.

Nah its a lot faster not picking up, but im not even sure if you can at caged ogres.

The thing with bronze knives is that you can buy them from a store (Martin Thwait) in the Rogue's Den for 14gp each. That's half the GE price of iron knives, and a quarter the price of black knives.

 

 

 

I'd suggest that you get a few hundred of each, and try them out to see if you think that the higher cost is worth it for the additional damage.

Lol, i guess no1 has pointed out that iron knives are only +1 more ranged attack bonus than bronze knives, not much difference at all, i doubt you would see any damage difference either. The caged ogres aren't that good, since your accumulator doesn't work there because there is a cage...meaning you have to either pick them up, or buy too many. I would just use bronze knives on experiments (you need a quest, i forgot which) or if you've done fremminik isles (you just need to start it, but you need to finish fremminik trials first), you can mass level on yaks, which is second best range exp in my opinion, second only to the chinchompa trainings.

If you choose to do ogres, just use bronze arrows, 1gp each, slow and steady, instead of fast and expensive, which is what the bronze knives are if you don't pick them up.

Actually, if you bring tele-grab runes, 1K of bronze knives will be paid back and earned as well. I was there for around an hour, from 66-68, and I got around 120K worth of seeds: 1 snapdragon, 2 ranarrs, and other misc. seeds.

could try yaks or moss giants...shouldn't take too long..50-61 isn't that much exp...
