Leveling through quests.

Featured Replies

I always get my levels myself and see the xp from a quest as an added bonus.

269 QP | All Stats 60+ (except Summoning) | Barrows Drops: 8 | Dragon Drops: 1

For me, I use Quests/Tears to 'kick-start' my lowest levels, so that I have, say, at least 20 construction before I start to level it properly. My summoning level is almost purely Tears, and a large portion of construction is quests (two 10K xp lamps from Troll Stronghold ftw).

But if it comes to leveling up above 40, usually it's just a small boost towards the next level which could be done in less time than the length of the Quest.

Whatever it is, I'm still a Questaholic.

I got 1-46 attack and 1-40 defence from monkey madness (and the quest requirement) so i never had to use weapon or armor under Runite. :D

i dont really just do quests for xp it's just the added bonus like ancients ect that make me quest :D

Gamertag: EFs Predator.

Games I play: Halo 3, Halo wars.

Questing also unlocks new places to explore. I level a lot around quests, because it's just handy. When you're 5k away from a level, but you can't be bothered to actually train it, questing gets that level + some other rewards. =D>

Achieved 99 Woodcutting on 12/06/08

i used to use it to raise prayer because i saw it as the fastest and cheapest way

stupid forums lost my dragon count , well atleast i know i got a d chain from a dusty!

99 Fletch, Late 06

99 Mage, late 07

99 Strength, 29th June 08

99 Hitpoints, 21st August 08

sooo close

I like the free xp from quests because i'm leveling without actually doing it..

Usually they have access to something new and useful also that I like so it's a double bonus.

Not to mention I'd like to get the QP cape... but still have to do:

As a First Resort...

Darkness of Hallowvale

Legacy of Seergaze

Mornings End Part I (i just barely started this one)

Mornings End Part II

as you can tell... they're some of the longer quests.. and i dont wanna go through the time required to finish

I sort-of experimented on this account with quest leveling; especially prayer. I think I had 24-26 before I started to quest-train it, and after four quests (holy grail, death plateau-->troll stronghold, spirits of the elid) I had 43 to complete harder quests. I love the combat-related rewards from quests (monkey madness and requisites come to mind) because early combat is a bore to me, and knight's sword gets you jumping onto smithing. Quests are great for lower to mid levels.

Quests can be a helpful boosts for new players, but once you're above the lvl 60 mark, the exp suddenly becomes very little as you could probably gain more yourself.

The only quest that helped me boost was Knights Sword with the tons of smithing exp.

So, the question is. Have you ever used the method, of completely quests to help raise levels for other quests?

I've always used quests to level. Its more fun than grind, it gives you decent xp and rewards, and if nothing else it gives you the questing bug which gives you a reason to raise your stats (other than just wanting to have that groovy 99 on your account)

Yup -- at the beginning of my membership, it's very effective at levelling.

For example, Tourist Trap Quest: 20 Agility and 20 Thieving right there.

Thanks Draynor.net!

yes I have used this method, it really helps the whole mentality of doing quests becuase of how frustrating they can be having to get all the items and running back and forth.
