July 2, 200818 yr So, I'm sick of looking at my rune plate because its the only thing that I wear that's not.. well.. cool. lol I usually wear: slayer helm, fury, whip, drag sq (or rune def), drag skirt, drag boots, slayer gloves, ring of wealth or warrior ring, obby cape (I should really get a fire cape).... and the rune plate so any suggestions for non-barrows items to replace my rune plate? (I could wear guthans, but I'd rather it not decay)
July 2, 200818 yr Fighter's Torso is a good choice if you're on a bit of a budget, but have time on your hands. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

July 2, 200818 yr Torsos are rubbish, if you want non-degradeable armor, Bandos would be your best bet, or maybe granite if you don't want to pay that. I personally suggest guthans for your top.bottom, because if you use guthans on slayer tasks that saves 2 spaces, and if not, they're cheap anyways. For the cape...well I personally disliked obby capes and wore legends until I got a quest one...but unless you're going to get 2 99s, then obsidian or fire would be your best bet. July 2, 200818 yr If you do a lot of combat, about as much as a normal person, it could take a couple weeks for it to fully degrade. If paying 90k every couple weeks is a problem for you, then you really shouldn't have guthans.
July 3, 200818 yr Anyone who wears a fury should not be afraid of repair costs. Seriously. It's under 100k every 15 hours. If you sold your fury for a glory, that's enough cash to keep a Guthan's Plate repaired for over 300 hours of combat. Well over what it would take to get 99 in the melee stat of your choice.
