BREAKING NEWS: LEIK JOINS EE ON FREE TRANSFER AFTER RIFTING IS CONTRACT WITH EOE.

 

Everyone has heard the name Leik and how he is among the best professional RuneScape players in the world. Just recently he transferred to Efficiency Experts on a free transfer, after rifting his contract with EoE. But the story of how he got to the top level of professional RuneScape playing is an interesting one.

 

As most players do, they start playing with their local teams, and Leik is no exception. He started out with TSA, but failed to settle in. He then joined Iceland for a fee of only 200k GP. He quickly settled in there and found his form quickly. He impressed many with his great performances and and it wasn't long before other clubs took notice. After a few weeks of successful playing, where he amassed an impressive amount of 25m XP, he joined Agony Remains. He played for them for a few weeks before financial crisis hit the small club. The club went completely broke and his contract was terminated in order to save the club.

 

However during his playing time for Agony Remains, MC, a DGS coach was spotted during one of Leik's session. After MC heard of Agony's problems, he contacted Leik and told him of DGS. DGS, a big name in the RuneScape world back then, wooed Leik fairly easily and he signed his first professional contract with DGS. Leik's career for DGS started off slowly, as it took him a while to settle in and resolve payment issues with Agony Remains.

 

After a disappointing start, Leik suddenly rediscovered his form and quickly burst into the first team. His manager and coaches were very impressed with him, and it didn't take long for them to offer him a new contract to ensure he stayed on. He finished the season as the 3rd highest XP gainer.

 

In September of 2011, Leik had a massive fallout with his manager and teammates, and was left out of the first team, despite his impressive performances for the club. Many were afraid he would give up his professional RuneScape career.

 

It wasn't until December 2011 that EoE contacted him and told them of their future plans and how they intended to build the club. EoE offered him a contract and Leik officially signed for EoE from DGS in January 2012 for an undisclosed fee.

 

Leik was an instant hit for the club and Kandy, a former EoE manager, was certain that he had managed to snap up something special with Leik joining the club. It only took Leik a few months before becoming the leading XP gainer.

 

Many bigger clubs, such as Divination X and Efficiency Experts took note of Leik's amazing performances and tried to go into talks with Leik. Leik however refused and insisted he would stay with EoE until his contract expired.

 

But from there, things started to go downhill for EoE. Many top players retired or moved to another clubs and Kandy retired as manager. It was then up to Leik to take up the role as a playing coach and carry EoE until the end of the season. Meanwhile, the big clubs continued to watch Leik, and as expected by many, EE and Leik went into negotiations.

 

Leik and EoE came to a mutual agreement of the termination of Leik's contract, and Leik signed for Efficiency Experts in February 2013. He was officially revealed by the club on February 9th.

 

"I am just so happy and excited to have signed for such a massive club," Leik said. "The past year has been amazing for me, and I have to thank EoE for what they have done for me and my career. But now it is time to move forward and take my career to the next level. I hope I can break into the first team for Efficiency Experts soon and prove I can play with the best."
