Well, it obviously gets to you and I think that's what they intended for. To solve this problem: don't worry about what nerds think. After you can do that, then the world of Runescape is yours to enjoy to the max.

Simply put, he who speaks of noobs has nothing smart to say, he who listens to noobs needs nothing to say.

Oh and I would suggest cutting down a bit on the playing, a combat of 77 and 1127 total in 8 monhts doesn' t sound healthy.

ya im about 950 total for 1 year of playing (however im f2p)

1100 total achieved 03/02/09 880thousandth to reach it :P

1200 total achieved 29/09/11 1.23millionth to reach it :P

Whell, I' m 82 combat and 933 total in 'bout 5 years on F2P. But I must admit I' ve been using slow exp/hour untill recently. But with the updates over the years I can see how it can still be healthy.

Anyway, what I wanted to say in my post is quite obivous, just let them be and continue on whatever you' re doing  . Helped for me in my "noob" years.

Not to be a grammar nazi, but if you were to talk to me like that in Runescape, I'd probably stick you on ignore and say the same thing.

Exactly what I was thinking.

More on topic : I agree that it can ba annoying, however you will be called a noob no matter what level you are, no matter what you are doing, or what you have done.

Also i think that people starting in 2003 would generally be higher than combat level 90, but thats just my experience.

I am just thinking out loud here, but you dont happen to boast about your total level around runecape do you? Because that would be a sure fire way of getting called a noob. By the Jelous people who dont have the same skills as you.

Also ''newb'' is short from newbie i believe, this is not derogatory (sp?) it stands for new player, and someone with inexperience.

This could count for you, compared to some players, if someone calls you this when you are doing something stupid ingame, like killing dragons with no antifire for example. Dont take it as an offence, just get over it.

If the word noob is annoying you that badly, turn your private chat to freinds, and use the clan chat to talk to mates.

Good way to avoid the ''noobs''.

Good that you're not a grammar Nazi. By the logic that Nazis followed Hitler, then grammar would indeed be Hitler himself. I'd have to start typin lik dis if taht wuz tru.

I don't go around being mean to people, and I'm a nerd (duh).

You are going to have to get used to it. Due to the high level of little/immature kids you are going to have to deal with it. Just remember almost everyone who uses the word "noob" is a prepubescent kid with low self-esteem. They only say it because they know they can get away with it and are usually the kind of kid that gets picked on at school and takes it out on others by doing what is done to them, being bullied. They choose to bully people over the internet via a game because in the real word they aren't able to for whatever reason. It just makes them feel better about themselves by picking on someone else so for once they are not the scapegoat. If you just ignore them or call their bluff, they will go away. NEVER pick a fight with them and/or stoop down to their level.

what goes round, comes around..

i believe in the theory of paying it forward..

Anyway... i get called noob all the time and what i do is just submit to what they're saying...

They can't get any sense of victory if you let yourself be beaten

Anyway i had to tell him about dragon gloves (dragon gloves dont exist noob gauntlets are better), and their advantages over dragon gauntlets

meh... i prefer not to go to "i'd own you"... i'm 106 cb,... but usually that just proves that you think you're better because your levels are higher

If you're being called a noob, ALWAYS retort with intelligence, NEVER brag about your skills or about how much you would own them... even if you could 1-hit KO them

shepard12.png

The sole reason most people play is to be better then every one else call people noobs and marvel in there own greatness. Your lvl 77 your going to get called noob probably till your lvl 120+ then you should be safer....

Because it is an online game is why people call everyone noobs...its just a stupid way of being an idiot to someone...I am a no life noob for getting a rune berserker shield from FOG.

hatsune-miku-wallpaper-49-1.jpg

Meh, I think that when people do that, they're trying to get a reaction out of you, get under your skin, disturb your inner peace and all that. Kinda like when you kill monsters and somebody pops in, and starts trying to always attack the one you're trying to attack just to piss you off -__- instead of just world hopping like decent people would.

2480+ total

Why do you even care about that?

I've been called def noob for being 112 with 85 defense. I've been called a safer noob frm eating at the last minute so I dont get koed. I've been called a house noob and hiding noob in FoG. I've also just been called nub recently because I put up a fight in FoG and got owned from lag (523-2203). There are two types of people who would say this:

1. jealous or frustrated people who want to belittle you to see if you'll do something stupid to make it easier to beat you.

2. arrogant players who think that they are all that and more (I hate these people the most).

How to deal with them:

1. thank them very politely while also paying attention (the comeback doesnt work unless you win!)

2. let karma kill them. There will ALWAYS be someone better than you/them. The bigger they are the harder they fall.
