[DONE] Cockroach Soldier

Featured Replies

As far as i'm aware, Cockroach soldiers don't drop mith platebodies in f2p like it says, and i've gotten heaps of scims and squares from them, so if they did drop them, im sure i would have seen or heard something about it.

It's very, very difficult to prove that a monster *doesn't* drop something. :( What if it's a 1 in 1000 drop?

Whether to change this is up to the Bestiary Crew.

Of course we want to get it right. If it were up to me, I'd be asking you to kill a bunch of em and post your drop list. Or possibly other players can confirm your experience - I know that F2P-ers probably kill a *LOT* of these guys.

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.

We've added this drop, then removed it, then added it again. I don't really think two different people would deliberately lie about the same relatively insignificant item (a Mithril Platebody will hardly excite anyone), so I'll assume using my personal judgement that these do drop Mithril Plates.

Whether or not they do in F2P is another matter. They are popular monsters in F2P, so if any F2Pers want to submit a proper drop log, I'll look at the information and reconsider.

I'll leave this thread open for that purpose.

I have no drop count but I have killed many thousands and have never got a mith plate.

I've gotten a mithril platebody from a cockroach before. It was from the level 56 one. (I'm not sure on the exact level, but the mid-level one) I didn't take a picture because it wasn't really much of a significant drop.

hi :)

so far, i killed at least 2k cockroach soldiers (id say half of them was while lootsharing) and i got 10 rune sq and 10 rune scims at all, bot 0 mith platebodies.

however, i killed about 100 cockroach workers (the lvl 53) and i did recieve a mith plate from em.

btw, cockroach soldiers do NOT drop 4 earth runes and 2 noted coals, only workers drop them.

hope this helped ::'

Ok, sorry for the seemingly invisible presence on this thread. I have been watching it from the start to really make a final decision. There is a lot of confusion about and mix through this thread about Cockroach Soldier (lv 83) and Cockroach Worker (lv 56). What is unique tho is that everyone was actually agreeing on the same thing and that is that the Soldier (83) does not drop the plate. Many argued that it does but in actuality the Worker was the one being confirmed.

Basically, it is removed and I think this is a Case Closed! :D

Thanks to all that helped!
