Are Dust Devils worth killing?

Yea you should hunt devils, since you will get about 1 mill in a day if non-stop

[*] Rune arrows very common

[*] D chain drop chance ;)

[*] red vamps?

[*] Stay forever with b2p

[*] Crimson charms super common, one of best places for crimsons

[*] Chaos Tunnels work awesomely

I'd like to know where this "amazing" crimson drop rate comes from.... I've killed many of these on task and the drop rate is less than 25% which is extremely poor.

Every monsters Charm drop rate is "extremely poor". Dust Devils just happen to be slightly less poor than the others.

Name a single monster that you can get such good xp, drops, and the ability to camp forever, all the while getting a nice amount of charms without spending any amount of money. There are none.

Your point is? I was just curious as to why retro said they had a "super common" crimson drop rate which they obviously don't. Waterfiends and Rock Lobsters have super common crimson drop rates, and Dust Devils aren't one of the best droppers in the game by far.

Just off the top of my head- nechryael. Great exp, drop a fair amount of snapdragon seeds, rune boots, rune full helms; with guthans or a bunyip + sgs you can camp forever; they definitely don't cost any more than dust devils. Plus they have a solid 33%+ droprate of crimsons, which is way better than the 20% I seem to get from dust devils.

You've also got waterfiends at higher levels, which drop EXTREMELY well, are not really that much harder to kill than other monsters when you're well-equipped, have an EXTREMELY high crimson droprate, and are easy to get back to from banking. Once you've been there it feels kind of silly to camp dust devils.

I'd recommend dust devils. They are above average charm droppers. They have lots of health, a low defense and don't hit for too much damage. They are quite plentiful and easy to reach in the chaos tunnels. Their drops are good, with the slight chance of getting an amazing drop. They are multi combat, but are not aggressive. This makes them great for bringing in a summoning creature to help you fight (or a bunyip). They also drop uth. kebabs, which heal 19. They're one of my favorite slayer assignments.

My 782nd Dust Devil kill about 2-4 Septembers ago came with a hefty 28.9 million gp reward.

It really depends, with today's standards, it may be worthwhile to just do as a slayer task; but heck, if your willing to spend the time, go for it.

Are you feeling lucky, punk? ::'
