July 17, 200818 yr Hey all, I'm training slayer and wondering if I should level up to Dust Devil to hunt D chains. Is it a good source of income or just a complete flop? Oh, and should I get a black mask right now cause the price for it today is at its lowest in a while. Thanks for all help.
July 17, 200818 yr get a black mask if you are doing slayer,and really ..dont hunt dust devils unless you are getting charms,the dragon chain drop rate is heard to be ..low :D but you could always try them

July 17, 200818 yr there ok for crimsons i averaged 1/5 charm rate of crimsons in ct for chain no... red dhide vambs+crimson charm could give some a heart attack

July 17, 200818 yr If you get assigned them for slayer or are hunting for charms...go for it. However, as it's been said, dragon chain hunting is all about luck. Some people get one some people don't. They drop rune arrows relatively often however.

But since i should tell you why they are great, heres the info: * Chance of a Dragon chain * Tons Good charms.....one of the best monsters in runescape for charms * Easy kills * Good Small drops : very useful * Alot of them around to kill..
July 17, 200818 yr If you really want to hunt them to see if you can get a Dragon Chainbody go for it however, they are definitely not a good source of regular income if that's what you're looking for. I once stayed there for over a month training melee and range and didn't get a single chain drop although, I did get a left half drop : . Dust Devils as normal slayer tasks are fine as they're pretty decent xp and are relatively easy to kill. As long as you're training slayer you should definitely get a black mask.
July 18, 200818 yr I would say yeh dusties are fine for slayer exp. I seen a few people suggest black masks. However for dusties you cannot use black mask on them unless you have a deathwish. But for slayer overall. I guess black masks are fine not that i've ever used one. Also if you done smoking kills. I would suggest saving for the slayer helm so you don't need to spend money on black masks. Too lazy to have a cool sig. So I therefore spam you with boring stat sigs

NO ONE is going to get a d chain on their first kill. the chances are too overwhelming. :wall: if you have alching and bones to peaches spells ready, then you should hunt these. they drop good alchable items and their bone drops can be used as food.
July 18, 200818 yr Only camp there for charms or combat exp. If you're hunting for a d chain, you will go insane. But yeah, great exp otherwise. If you have bones to peaches, barrows armor and around 80-80-80 stats, you should be able to stay there forever, theoretically.

July 18, 200818 yr Anyone who says dust devils are bad for charms has never been to the Chaos Tunnels. Fight them there, with some B2P tabs or Bunyips, and they're great exp, good cash, and excellent crimson droppers.

You could get a d spear every single kill, make a tidy 5mil+ per hour. I got one once on a slayer assignment, so it's definitely a possibility. It's all about luck : But seriously, dust devils aren't worth camping. Keep on slaying right past them and enjoy it when you get them as a task- they are nice exp and okay charms. The d chain drop isn't worth taking into consideration though- if you expect one you've got a 99.9999% chance of being disappointed and having wasted your time. You kill them for charms mainly,Since summoning is a good way to spend all of your coins,Pal Getting dragon weapon is a bad idea now. You know these people better than me,I have a friend with 7 mil coins,LOL
