Im not sure if you could do it... i did mine when I was lvl 50 something combat and had well over 40 attack, strength, and defence. When I got in there, I nearly got blasted back to lumbridge right away. I ended up eating 24 of my lobs during that battle and barely won...

 

 

 

I did it at Level 53, and used up all my lobsters - and had a final HP of 3. O_o

He is right. 100% of the time the poster comes back and says, "OMG I DID IT!!!1@@@! W00T!". Just bring some Swordfish and some cakes and you should be fine.

You can probably do it.

 

I did it at 20 defence, lost connection during the fight, didnt eat once and survived with 15 hp... but then again, i was level 59 :lol:

these pages usually get 2+ pages because facing elvarg is a big deal. it is the first boss to most and is the only one in f2p. defeating elvarg on my 1st account was a big accomplishment to me. the author is just unsure if he can beat it. it is scary fighting a level 83 monster when ur level 40.

While it might be nice to defeat Elvarg and finish the hardest F2P quest, I believe patience is a virtue. I waited until I was at least combat lvl 60 before I took my first stab at killing him. Even at that level, I had to escape with teleports at least twice. I suggest you wait until you reach at least 75 combat. While you might be anxious for the combat XP and armor buying rewards from this quest, patience is still important. If you die multiple times while trying to kill him at a low level, you are wasting time, items, and GP. You can also wear dragondhide and/or rune armor even if you do not finish the quest, as long as you have the right combat level. You do not need Oziach's help to accquire the specified armors. With the GE, you could easily obtain them (most likely at a lower price too!).

I did it at your stats and beat it first try, though I did have 40 attack. Bring full addy, decent rune weapon (scimmy the best) and 12-20 lobbies. I only used 5 or 6 but best to be safe than sorry. Littleboy did it at lvl 60 and used 12 lol :

First get 40 atk and buy a rune skymmy. you should wear full addy with anti-dragon shield. Take about 20 lobsters and a str pot. Watch your hits and dont let them drop too low. You should be fine, i did it with 40 atk, 38 strenght and 31 def.

i believe my friend did at at 35 however, he had both 40 attack 40 strength and 30 def. What he did was have a friend there to telegrab his gear in case he died and he had a rune scim full addy except for shield, for that he wore an anti-drag. Then his inve had a strength and was full of swordfish. other than that that's all i know.

get 43 pray and 40 def

 

wear full rune and put protect from attack on

 

Then use a full inven of swords, they heal 14; lobs only heal 12

 

use a str pot!!!

 

 

 

if you're p2p, use super set!

wait till combat lvl about 51 with about 40 def and 44+ att and/or str,

 

 

 

 

 

my stats when i did drag slayer were 46 def 45 att 43 str with full addy and a rune scim ~.~

If a level 42 can kill a lvl 702 Jad, then I think you can manage Dragon Slayer at 44, although it wouldn't hurt to train up that combat a bit. :-#

yea, i was super-afraid of elvarg, finally did at 71 combat with full rune (rune chainbody) and anti-drag shield. Used a rune scimmy as well, lobsters, no prayers or strength pots.

I think i had about 60-57-52 or so stats.

You can do it, just trust yourself.

 

My friend who used to be a Level 3 Skiller recently did it with 40 All combat stats with ease, sure you can to.

I completed this at level 39, as long as you fight correctly while in his cage, you can kind of hide from him.

 

 

 

Or do what my lvl 25 friend did, wait until you see the dragon kill someone, then go in there and finish him lol, it actually works, amazed me. He was a tank mage though.

Amazingly it does :shock: I can remember my friend doing that when I helped him with Dragon Slayer ;)

I'm level 51 now, I have 42/42/42, I'll get them all to 45. I made 27 meat pizzas, they heal 16.
