My goal is 175 QPS to finish recipee for disaster AND to get barrows gloves.

 

Well I have the quest points done now.

 

I get geared up, ready for the first fight, but when I head off to enter the battle, I get a NASTY surprise.

 

 

 

"You need 176 Quest points to access this portal."

 

 

 

... I got pretty mad as you can imagine.

 

It did that due to the very RECENT update making Tutorial island a quest giving 1 QP, raising the requiered amout of them since everyone get 1.

 

... Whats the point!? Why should a tutorial give a useless Questpoint that just raises all QP requierements for all quests that need a certain amount!? A TUTORIAL IS NOT THE SAME AS A QUEST JAGEX!

 

 

 

Isnt it pretty weird that when I finally get what I want, it just needs more?

 

Ive vented now... gonna do that LAST quest to get 176. I hope its worth it.

You cant really do that with pixels. And 1 quest point can make all the difference in the game. You WOULD probably be mad if you were, say for example, about to get a quest cape. Right then the server restarted and the level requierements were above your skills. That seems more upsetting to you, but this is upsetting to me since I CANNOT stand quests. Were not all the same so dont say thats only a little, because to me it isnt.

I would just wait and train my skills to be better. seriously, if you get that mad over a quest point, maybe you should take a break from the game and experience the real life.

 

The skill level it takes to defeat quests in runescape isn't that much. I mean, take desert treasure for example. I've done it twice, once on this account, and once on my lvl 50 pure. I did better on my lvl 50 pure, not because I knew what I was doing for the quest, but because it wasn't that hard. Now, if you can't take an extra day to do a simple quest, then I don;t know what to tell you.

Ahahaha. When you get your quest cape, you'll face this about every two weeks when a new quest comes out and you lose the ability to equip your cape.

This is a little weird to me, but why in the world would you even try to obtain a Quest Cape even though you CANNOT STAND quests? As Omali said, you'll have to do another quest every week or so for the rest of your time in Runescape if you want to keep the Cape..

All players will receive a Quest Point for completing the tutorial, whether they completed the old tutorial or the new tutorial (and any content with a Quest Point requirement will be raised as a result).

Eh, of course they're going to raise the requirement by one. You get a quest point for free, everyone did. It'd be the exact same thing as if you tried to access the portal with 174 Quest Points before the update.

to get quest cape i belive u have to complte all quest so by jagex givin everyone 1 qp and makin quest requirments higher it wont make a difference but i also feel its very stuiped to have made tutorial get a qp but i belive it is to get new players used to quests

I suppose it's a bit odd for Jagex to decide to change a requirement, they usually never change. You got a point for free, and the requirement raised of one point, so you're in the same position as before.

just making sure, you realize that you don't get the gloves for free, but you buy them 130k right? I just wanted to make sure I didn't dishearten you. Also, do you read the quest storylines? If you don't (like most people), then you're missing out on a lot. Everything is a storybook in quests. I would actually like a quest that gives a reward to let you re-watch cut scenes from events and quests completed. And you do realize, that eventually, they'll come out with a quest that gives good equipment but will require like 250 qp, right? I bet alot of the people already laughing at you will bropbably crack then #-o

Their 100k Must have lowered. I am already done. So I dont need luck questing since im done with them.

Exactly. The only effect that extra QP had was that we'll get a little more extra time in Tears of Guthix. Nothing to complain about. :mrgreen:

well, i was going for the last quest to gett he cape ( devious minds) i was happily raising my smithing knowing that it was within my reach. System update. What a nice surprise! a celebration for my cape! Congratulations, raise yoursmithing another 6 lvls and do another quest. Its when this happened that i realised. Life isnt fair in most situations. You have to work for your achivements despite people pushing you back down.
