Zierro
Final fantasy tactics was one of my favorites... Yeah, there was a lot of strategy involved with that one. Especially the job and ability system. Ahh good memories. PS: I chess too!

Danqazmlp
Im a classic strategy man me. Settlers 3: [hide=][/hide] nothing like seeing those fat lil guys walking from the pig farm to the slaughterhouse with a pig under their arm, come out with a join of meat, and then take it to the coal mine, the coal miner come out, eat the meat, go back in the mine and bring out some coal, take it to the smelter to make iron bars, then the bars taken to the smithy to make weapons, the weapons taken to the armoury and then a little guy walk up pick up the sword and turn into a fat little centurian. Brad25891
Has anyone played Empire Earth? The first one rocked, not sure about the others... Awesome game, I loved the scenarios people used to make, I think I used to play micro-arena and blood-arena mostly :D And in regular i used to play a lot of Indy wars ^^ At the moment my favourite RTS's have to be WC3+TFT, and the Dawn of War series :) (Still havent played soulstorm but cant wait till DoW2 :D) Deviant Art Account2 Signatures | 6 Photographs | 1 Other

Kiriyama
I've played Age of Empires II and III. Eventually, I do get bored of them. Currently playing Battle for Middle Earth II. the A.I is a bit annoying at times (seems to focus on mainly attack, and the amount of troops they get seems so unreal. Still, its a bit like Age of Empires, except I find it alot better. The hero system is alot better, along with the abilities, still have my tendancy to ranged units though (like Musketeers in AoE III). Anyway, I find it also to be more of a challenge than Age of Empires, you can't really have a huge pool of command points while getting alot of resources easily, the A.I. while focusing on attack, gives a real change from AoE's sit and wait to be decimated A.I. Faux
I have Battle For Middle Earth II It has to be one of the most simplistic RTS games I've played (more so than the red alert series lol), but it's enjoyable and it was 10 bucks when I bought it brand new. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

Cost me £25 for the Collectors Edition and Rise of the Witch King expansion. It is pretty simplistic, however, it is as you said, enjoyable. Lenin64
According to Wikipedia, Pikmin is an RTS. I kind of laughed at that, then realized it's sort of right. There's a good bit of strategy involved, and while not "real-time" in the sense that a day is only 15 minutes, it's not turn based. I always just assume it was a puzzle/adventure or something.
