August 5, 200817 yr I have not had much experience, but it depends on your wcing level - if it's 80 or more, there is a huge difference - go with magics.

August 6, 200817 yr I do yews even at 94. I haven't really timed it but I think I can do 3 yew logs per mage log which in turn balances out to the same thing if not a bit more. Apparently, my signature was to big.

Last time I checked, it was random how many logs and how fast you go them. I remember reading that it does not matter if you have 99 or 75, it will be random. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

It goes slightly faster at higher levels. However, even at 99, you're hard-pressed to get any decent amount of magic logs in a reasonable period of time. Although they are faster cash than yews, the difference in cash is very small, and at 99 woodcutting I can still make faster cash by mining pure essence than I can at chopping magic logs. So if you honestly don't care about woodcutting experience and you're just in it for the cash, then you shouldn't be woodcutting in the first place, because it really is slow money.
