Lenticular_J
Um, they affect everyone I suppose, but there are a lot of two-choice topics goin' down right now. Tribal
The ghettos problem or everyones problem? That question is just stupid, you're implying drugs are only found in the ghetto? I by no means live in a ghetto, but I can call 20 people I know at any given time and find an abundance of drugs so yes, i'd say "everyones problem" as if the awsner wasn't completely obvious. Rainy_Day
It is simply ignorant to assume it is only the 'ghetto' that has drug issues. Different classes, races, ages etc can all become drug users. It just depends on how easy they cave to pressure. Anyway, some people enjoy drugs, others are against them. I only support medical drugs that aid humans through illness/injury. Ones with other effects (hallucinations and so forth) should be disallowed. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)RIP Michaelangelopolous
Abyssalwhip
How are you not banned yet... Anyway I say let the ones who do drugs kill themselves with all of them if they're stupid enough to take them in the 1st place. Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....
Zierro
It depends on what drugs you're talking about. Weed is practically harmless yet such a big deal is made about it. Hardcore drugs like heroin, meth, and coke are where the true problem lies because they are so addicting. People do crazy things just to get money for it - meaning this is a case where it's "everyone's problem".

All I will say is that some of the smartest people on this forum are known to dabble in soft drugs and hallucinogenics. La lune ne garde aucune rancune. Neither is better... just less worse So the fact that marijuana can only kill you through smoke inhalation and makes you hungry, thirsty, and tired(the three basic physiological needs) is a bad thing, compared to a known carcinogen that is [bleep]ed with chemicals that are highly toxic. :-k If you choose your beliefs/lifestyle simply based on what your parents want, then you are a weak minded individual and are not even worthy of calling yourself a person. RSBDavid
basically what Rainy_Day said sums up what I was going to say. I live in the middle of nowhere in the country and we have a huge weed issue up here. I can walk 200 ft and buy weed from where I live. An 8 million dollar batch was sized in January. Diesel
Drugs are not only a problem in the ghetto. I live in the subs and in the past 2 weeks, 3 of my neighbors (all under 18) were caught by their parents smoking weed, cigarettes, and drinking beer in an abandoned shack near my house. About 6 months ago, 2 of my former classmates were busted selling weed and another neighbor not involved in the above event was suspected of selling as well, but was never charged. Booze is a frequent drink of preference at local parties even though it's illegal for us minors and I've heard a lot of close calls from people driving home from those parties. It's only a matter of time before something really bad happens. Obviously it's not just the ghetto's problem. It's much more wide spread. I think that the ghetto is pictured as a scary place to begin with, so drug use has to be there. Of course none of us non-ghetto-ians use drugs... I don't think this thread was supposed to start a debate on if drugs were right or not (although the OP was quite vague is starting the discussion topic), but on that point, I think that drugs, when used in moderation and for medical purposes only, can be helpful for society. Using drugs just for "fun" or "just to get high" is childish in my opinion. I don't even drink the wine at church even though the alcohol content is minuscule. Ginger_Warrior
While we have the NHS in my country, anything that involves someone's health ultimately affects all of us because we have to collectively pay for the treatment. I don't oppose that principle - free healthcare paid for by the taxpayer is important. Yes, drug issues are usually localised, but they are a national issue. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |

tripsis
Everyones' problem - definitely. I live in a pretty wealthy area, so the opposite of the "ghetto" if you will, and I can name tens of people who I know/knew, went to school with or go to school with who are in rehab, have gotten expelled/suspended from high school due to drugs, have gotten kicked out of their house due to drugs, and/or have alcohol/drug problems.
