August 7, 200817 yr *Cough* Idiot *cough* Do you even know what the word racist means? Oh please, I respect your opinion but you just had to exaggerate, didn't you? Or do you think I should just go on like this NIRVANA SUCKS NIRVANA SUCKS NIRVANA SUCKS NIRVANA SUCKS NIRVANA SUCKS NIRVANA SUCKS NIRVANA SUCKS NIRVANA SUCKS NIRVANA SUCKS... And so on. I didn't want to kick you at all. But you exaggerated way to much. You're being so hypocritical, you're entitled to your own opinion yes but I should respect yours whilst you don't even respect mine? ;>

I don't hate Nirvana at all, I just expected a discussion here about Grunge. The problem with people like you is that you only know Nirvana and you think you can just bash on rap like that. What happens? You meet someone who has slight knowledge of rap and suddenly you DO respect my opinion, why in the world did you make that spam topic about "RAP SUCKS" in the first place then? Very respectful. ;>

Very respectful. Just because I respect your opinion doesn't mean I can't speak freely about mine. This topic was supposed to be about the ups and downs of Nirvana and Pearl Jam. I know more grunge band than that (Dinosaur Jr., Hole, Sonic Youth, Alice in Chains, etc.) but it's not about them. *Plays Uber-Guitar Solo while you stand in awe*
August 8, 200817 yr Hard to say, really. I'd probably go Nirvana by an edge. Nevermind is still one of my favourite albums of all time.
August 8, 200817 yr Although I prefer Pearl Jam, Nirvana was extremely influential with what was to come with other bands. I for one don't listen to Nirvana, but you can't really deny the impact they made on the music world. The same goes with metalheads, sure they LOVE their Judas Priest or Megadeth or Opeth, but they can't deny the fact that the Beatles (certainly not metal) made a HUGE mark on the music world and shaped what was to come.
August 8, 200817 yr The two are so different, how can you compare them? Pearl Jam sold out after like 2 albums and went down the crapper, yet Kurt killed any hope for Nirvana by killing himself. The two may have both been grunge, but musically, they were so different.
August 10, 200817 yr Author The two are so different, how can you compare them? Pearl Jam sold out after like 2 albums and went down the crapper, yet Kurt killed any hope for Nirvana by killing himself. The two may have both been grunge, but musically, they were so different. Completly different they were at eachothers throats all the time. yet both of them claimed to be the father (sole father) of grunge still Nirvana's like 50 billion times better  . no exageration. especially Nevermind. *Plays Uber-Guitar Solo while you stand in awe*

I think you exaggerated greatly. Ten is a much better album than Nevermind. though, it is also the only Pearl Jam album I own. There are way better grunge bands out there though. Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, and Stone Temple Pilots are all MUCH better than either of the aforementioned bands, if only judging by their biggest releases (Siamese Dream, Superunknown, and Purple, respectively.

August 12, 200817 yr So they have a slightly better album according to some people doenst mean they're better Isn't that the same logic you are using to defend Nevermind against Ten?
August 17, 200817 yr pearl jam... nirvana makes me too depressed How does listening to music make you depressed? I'm not denying that it's possible, I'm just curious... No matter what I listen to, it always puts me in a better mood.

No matter what I listen to, it always puts me in a better mood. Maybe it's like how listening to Simple Plan makes me lose faith in the human race. Something like that. Cool.
