August 13, 200817 yr I just bought GTA4 3 days ago and I'm like 16% done with it.. damn its long. I have totally done all the jobs, missions, and main quest up to 16%. Currently on "Search and Delete". I read it takes like 40 hours of straight gameplay (or 40 hours combined) to reach 100%. First, I'm wondering if it is 40. If not, how many. I know it depends on the skill of the player, I'm pretty perfect except that sometimes when in pursuit, I go too fast or make a wrong turn and end up crashing + failing but anyways other than that, I'm perfect. Also, does it pay off having 90-100% in multi-player (xbox live)? 1 more thing.. I don't have Xbox Live but I wanna get it. in gold too. I don't have broadband or any cable-relate dinternet. I have satellite internet (no wall plugs, modems, or anything) involved. How could I get xbox live? if you reply, u rock [hide=Halo 3]It took me 3 days of playing it for 3-5 hours each day to complete it.. it was a lot easier but sometimes repetitive.. hehe.. can't wait to see how much fun it is on xbox live.. cuz with multi-player (2 players) it isn't that fun =\..[/hide] -Retired from Runescape on August 12, 2008-Working out topicEverything related to working out! August 13, 200817 yr Why do you complain about GTA4 being long? The missions are interesting and the storyline is great. I'd rather it be longer so I don't finish it in a day and never play it again. It took me about 2 weeks of playing it probably a few hours a day cumulatively, playing it less near the end. You need to have a broadband connection to play xbox live, and you need to pay for a subscription.
August 13, 200817 yr A long game is really scarce nowadays. I'd say that it's great, to be able to play for such a long time. Really gives you some bang for the buck. Can't wait till it's released on PC. Twitter ||| Google+ ||| Facebook ||| LinkedIn ||| My very interesting weblog about science
August 13, 200817 yr Author Hmm.. not really complain.. was just saying.. its fun sometimes but it can get repetitive. at least to me. cause, its like you call a dude and they tell you the story behind the crime and then tells you to go: -pick him up and drop at x location -aid him with a drug exchange (watchout or kill everyone afterwards) -kill x person -drive cargo to x place well.. its FUN.. :) Also, does it pay off having 90-100% in multi-player (xbox live)? Thanks for replying I was saying because I'm used to fully finishing a game then doing whatever I want on it.. but this type of game is new to me cuz it take s a while to complete... also a new question: At the rate I'm going (bought 3 days ago, 16% completed), is it a: slow, nice, good, or fast rate? thanks again -Retired from Runescape on August 12, 2008-Working out topicEverything related to working out! August 13, 200817 yr Only 40 hours to 100%? It took me over 70 to 100% San Andreas... No dont listen im at about 79% last time i checked and im at 51 or so hours played.I doubt it will be san andreas length because collecting all those camera pictures you had to take and how hard it is to find could take you a whole day but it is a substantial amount.Oh and i dont know anyone whos maxed it out. Edit:And it must be said that i am becoming more and more in favour of shorter games but i am willing for spectacular games like GTA to put the hours in.Wasnt as worthwhile as vice city though, best ending to a GTA ever.

August 13, 200817 yr Well, the only way someone can tell is if they look at your achievements for the game, so can't really say it's a plus. Also, play with aim assist off. It will make you better for online. That's a good enough rate. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
August 14, 200817 yr i beat the story in less than 30 hours (i have the acheivement to prove it) and i didn't bother with the extra stuff. i think the only extra thing i did were the assassin missions and killed ONE pigeon
August 14, 200817 yr Its irrevelant in multiplayer really. You usually get the peopel at 1% who are dominating ebcause there playing on differant saves or whatever.I personally avoided teh multiplayer because of the [wagon] density that is contained in the multiplayer game.
August 15, 200817 yr Author 36% now.. the game has opened up a lot.. like 20 missions left till the last one.. then I'm going job crazy :)... will hopefully get xbox live some day.. the bank robbery was crazy fun ^_^.. used 2 cheats near the end - loose wanted level & refill health+ammo+armor.. real helpful.. 250k$ -Retired from Runescape on August 12, 2008-Working out topicEverything related to working out! August 16, 200817 yr Connect the XBL wire from your console to a modem(Sp?) or something really close to that and register via your Xbox, NOT THE XBOX WEBSITE. And you'll receive a free 1-month XBL gold membership. And most of the time people complain about a game's length, its usually that its too short. This is the first time I heard someone complain about a game being too long. You'll have to appreciate it, you'll be lucky to have a single player storyline game that requires over 10 hours of gameplay to complete and even more luckier for the whole game to be linked together instead of random new storylines popping out after 1-2 hours, making no mention of the previous storylines... 00:00:0500:00:0400:00:0300:00:0200:00:0100:00:00 Break the Walls down!

Its all for bragging wrights, i havent even played the game and im #1 in multiplayer you all suck!!get outside nerds...Seriosuley GTA 4's multiplayer seems to be the new stomping ground of little jimmy, the 9 year old halo douche.
August 23, 200817 yr I was addicted to the game when i got it.. completed main story in about 3 days without cheats, they make it too easy : . Love the bank job mission and when you get to execute people
August 24, 200817 yr Heh, San Andreas took me 73 hours and 42 minutes to get the final car delivered for 100% I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal. OPEN WIDE HERE COMES THE HELICOPTER.
